One of the challenges with Real Estate is liquidity.. if you bought 10,000 shares of AAPL you could sell some… you cant sell a portion of your house.. you have to sell the entire thing and then buy something else… at current prices…. apples and and oranges, not apples OR oranges…

Real estate is the best, because of the fixed rate Morgage.

I haven't watched this yet, but my opinion is eventually property taxes and insurance on property will exceed any rental income, so I just prefer not to gamble on it. Owning 1 home is important though because property taxes are usually limited in yearly growth once you're age 65. If staying in an apartment they have to raise rent to cover higher property tax over time even if you're elderly I think

If your housing included an imputed rent on the housing I think the numbers would be a lot higher , do you including dividend in the stock number ?

FYI for Duncan, if you're big into history when you're in London consider taking a trip over to St. Albans (it's about 20 miles from London). They've preserved a bunch of the history from when it was a Roman settlement, and the city park next to the museum even has some of the Roman city wall still standing. One of the coolest things I saw when I visited the UK years ago.

A lesson from crypto trading is to realize some gains to protect the principal when the asset goes parabolic.
And a good practice a old trader told is the residual portfolio formation. Lets say you want to add some company to your portfolio, instead of buying it all at once, you put a fraction with a relatively close profit target but you sell just enough to pay the cost and recover the principal. The profit remains in the portfolio as shares.

Ben's "Process Over Outcomes" is a great rule to follow. Without a disciplined strategic plan to follow we are subject to making knee jerk decisions based on today's headlines, which results in worse outcomes and a lot of stress in the long run. Great show Ben and Duncan. Enjoy your vacations!
