People like the idea of having control over how their pension contributions are invested. This is the big appeal of Roth IRAs to the Irish people. But do we have anything that comes close to a Roth IRA in Ireland?

In this video, I compare how PRSA pension funds stack up against them.

Hi Walter first of all very informative video thank you. Question I have is say hypothetically I have setup a prsa and my employer offers a contribution will they pay into my prsa or is it gonna be a case of having to enrol in their scheme or is it completely up to them. Also is the tax free allowance inclusive of their contribution?

Great video Walter, did you get a chance to get that Davy account set up after?

Hi Walter, when you set up a PRSA with Davy for AVCs, will you still be able to get the tax relief on those? ie is that somehow connected to your employer‘s payroll? Struggling to understand how you’d get the relief if you contribute out of your net salary that has already been taxed…

Hi Walter, nice channel, I've just subscribed!

I'm Brazilian but also an EU citizen, worked for the last 2 years in Ireland as a permanent employee (software engineer ). Now, I'll be travelling a little bit and will be working as a freelancer meanwhile for customers around the world.
Do you think it's worth it to register myself as self-employed to invoice and pay my taxes in Ireland? If so, is it possible to do everything remotely?

    Thank you!

Great video. Davy Select seems to be the only player in town. Looking forward to the video. You can choose different models within Zurich PRSA’s. They have about 50 different options….
