When it comes to investing in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, many investors are turning to specialized retirement accounts like Roth IRAs to maximize their gains and minimize their taxes. Two of the leading providers of such accounts are iTrust Capital and Unchained Capital, both of which offer Bitcoin and crypto ROTH IRA accounts. In this article, we will compare the two services to help you decide which is the best option for you.

iTrust Capital is a digital asset custodian and broker-dealer that provides investors with access to a variety of digital asset investments, including cryptocurrencies. The company offers a self-directed IRA that allows investors to invest in Bitcoin and other digital assets. The iTrust Capital IRA has a minimum investment of $10,000 and allows investors to trade on the company’s proprietary trading platform. The company also provides investors with access to a variety of other digital asset investments, including Ethereum, Litecoin, and more.

Unchained Capital is another provider of Bitcoin and crypto ROTH IRA accounts. The company offers a self-directed IRA with a minimum investment of $5,000. Unlike iTrust Capital, Unchained Capital does not offer its own trading platform. Instead, investors must use a third-party platform to buy and sell cryptocurrencies. The company also offers a variety of other services, including portfolio management, tax optimization, and more.

When comparing iTrust Capital and Unchained Capital, it is important to consider the fees associated with each service. iTrust Capital charges a flat fee of 0.5% of the total account balance for its services, while Unchained Capital charges a flat fee of 1%. Additionally, iTrust Capital offers a variety of other services, such as portfolio management and tax optimization, which may be beneficial for some investors.

In conclusion, both iTrust Capital and Unchained Capital offer Bitcoin and crypto ROTH IRA accounts that can help investors maximize their gains and minimize their taxes. However, it is important to consider the fees associated with each service, as well as the additional services offered by each company, before making a decision.

What if you want to transfer your iTrustCapital Roth IRA to another custodian account, like your regular brokerage account, after selling your cryptos?
Also, what if Coinbase goes bankrupt and closes the shop? Is there an agreement like exchanges where they will take away your coins hostage? Do you get the custody of your coins immediately in such situation?

I appreciate this, but these assurances still feel unsatisfactory. I guess we're just supposed to trust ITC, and skippidy-do-dah away with our pretty yellow picnic baskets?

I need to see some kind of proof of this arrangement — and its inviolability — in writing.

My research said, Custody is by Curv, owned by PayPal. Nothing mentioned of Coinbase custody. ?
