   With respect, you're doing it again G. The last 4 years have been full of delusion for you. To your credit, you seem like a ride-or-die friend, though a little misguided. You seem also cognizant of the fact that you candy-coated these two people for wwaayyy too long. A few months ago when this all hit you, you seemed to blame them both equally. Either one of them could have stopped this downward spiral and both have chosen not to. Now, it seems as though you are blaming Shanny and candy-coating Jason again. You need to face the fact that these are horrible people. They are as bad as each other. He has chosen each step he's ever taken in his life. And he's not going to change now. If you need to keep hoping that Jason will leave his girlfriend to start living some sort of normal, functional life — hey — you can hope. It's not going to happen. I'm sorry to say that no matter how good of a friend you are to Jason, he has made his choice.
