On August 7th, 2011, Jeffery Welles hosted the Fidelity Investments Jumper Classic Welcome Stake at the PBIEC in Wellington, Florida. The event was attended by top showjumpers from around the world, including many of the world’s best riders. The competition was fierce, and the stakes were high.

The Welcome Stake was the first of three classes that were part of the Fidelity Investments Jumper Classic. The Welcome Stake was a speed class, which required riders to complete a course of jumps in the fastest time possible. The course was designed by course designer Steve Stephens, and featured a variety of obstacles, including a triple combination, a triple bar, and a combination of verticals and oxers.

The competition was fierce, with many of the world’s best riders competing for the top prize. In the end, it was Beezie Madden who emerged victorious, riding her horse Cortes C to the win. She completed the course in a time of 57.08 seconds, narrowly edging out runner-up McLain Ward, who finished in 57.75 seconds.

The Fidelity Investments Jumper Classic Welcome Stake was a great success, and a great way to kick off the rest of the competition. Jeffery Welles and all of the riders involved should be commended for their hard work and dedication. The Fidelity Investments Jumper Classic promises to be an exciting event, and we look forward to seeing more great performances in the coming weeks.
