should i rollover my traditional 401k to M1's roth (IRA)?
Great video! Can you please share your thoughts on my ROTH IRA portfolio? I am 38. Thank you and KEEP UP THE GREAT JOB!
What's better M1 Finance or Fidelity for Roth IRA??
On the m1 finance website it says there are penalties for taking your money out early. Meaning before your 59 years old.
This video doesn't have enough thumbs up
Thanks for the video! I have a question. I know there's a max amount you can put into your ROTH IRA a year, 6k for me. So if I do trades inside my ROTH IRA let's say for example I buy 1k of a stock and then it goes up and I sell it for 2k (making me a 1k return) does that extra 1k now count towards the amount I've put into my ROTH? like now I can only put 4k more in? (6k total – 1k from my original investment – 1k from my profit)
Hey Ryan I have a question but first thanks for your time making these great educational videos. Ok, so I'm wondering per M1 Finance, why doesn't everyone just go the Roth IRA portfolio route rather than the build your own portfolio route seeing as you get tax free incentives with the Roth IRA AND through M1 you can invest in individual stocks rather than just etf's and index funds like you mentioned in the video. Seems the Roth IRA would be the only sensible no brainer am I right or am I missing something? Just really wondering because I'm trying to decide which account portfolio to open for myself. What do you think? Thanks!
Can you have same stock in different portfolios in M1? Would you suggest that? Thx!
Hey Ryan. If I put 7000 into my Roth IRA will all that money go towards that investment? 100%? And do I pay the tax with my personal income taxes? If not could I elect to pay that way, this way that full 7,000 is staying in the Roth IRA? Very important. If it doesn't work that way then I'm REALLY not investing that full 7,000. I'm single. I could get taxed a lot!
The most helpful video on learning M1 finance retirement investments
I wish I could control when the order of buy/sell goes through but then it's free so it's fine
Should tell ppl everytime you hit rebalance it creates a taxable event on M1
Don't you have to wait 5 years before withdrawing your own contributions from a Roth IRA? Otherwise they do penalize you.
Will this let me add an account for my non working spouse? I want to max out both of us. Thanks
Sponsored = bias = irrelevant info
Any advise on married couples that is over the Roth IRA limit?
3:12 will M1 fiance warn me before I accidentally try to take out some of my earnings instead of my contributions
How does the M1 roth ira stack up against the Betterment roth ira?
Thanks for the info !
If im making under 100k this year and in the next few years I start making well over 120k how do I change the plan I picked ?
Could I switch from my individual account on M1 to m1 Roth IRA? and also can I put less than the 500 to start?
Definitely considering M1 to build my own dividend portfolio, but I'm concerned about they're staying power. Other companies have been around for a lot longer. What happens if this company goes belly up? I'm worried that this company like most is over leveraged and they might not be around for the next 20 yrs
I have a question Ryan..What if M1 finance shuts down..are ones funds protected?
Do the dividends that get reinvested count as contributions like if I reach my limit of 6k and then it reinvest it will that get penalized?
Will I be able to transfer my charles schwabb roth ira to M1 finance roth ira?
You mentioned that you have to deposit 500 when you open a Roth IRA, I want to know weather this stays money on your account or M1 takes the money?
Do you have to be employed to open a Roth IRA and add money into it? For example I’m just a full time student atm but I would rather much have this type of account instead of the regular account.
Can I transfer my Etrade IRA to M1?
Hi Ryan, if you open a Roth IRA can you reinvest dividends within it and not be taxed on gains? I am undecided between vanguard s&p 500 index vs fractional shares in M1 (I don't have alot to invest but rather start now than later)
Question, i know you can also put money in a Roth IRA and let that build with interest, does m1 finance let you do that?
I opened a Roth IRA with Vanguard but I really like the M1 Finance platform, is it possible to transfer money from Vanguard to M1?
Is there any way to use just m1 for the roth ira? I dont want to use the regular account i just want the roth ira
For the income limits, is it adjusted income (e.g. minus my health care costs) as opposed to gross income?
I’m a big fan Of M1 Finance! Nice video!
Hi Ryan, I'm 18 and opening a Roth IRA, is there any reason I should go with Vanguard over M1 Finance? I've been having a hard time navigating Vanguard and figuring it out. Love your vids btw
Any stocks or REITs that you think will split soon?
I have a Roth IRA with M1 Finance and I am loving it 🙂
i love your videos man.filled with so much useful info.
im having a hard time finding information about options for starting an investment account for my son (10yo). i save all his birthday and christmas money and have it just sitting around in the hundreds. any idea on how i can throw it into an account for him so when he is old enough he has a decade of compounding already that he can just take control of? id also like to have something to start a retirement account for when he starts working (16yo)
Very well spoken brother. Thinking about opening one myself. How can you incorporate a ROTH IRA and Investing in lets say Index Funds? Do they just use the money in your IRA to do the investing?
Roth IRA free of fees?
I’d say it’s a good option!
