Millionaire with Roth IRA (Long Term Investing Strategy)

Latest Video:
I opened my ROTH IRA with Vanguard to save some money for the future me. Investing for a large nest egg when I retire is a great decision because I don’t want to live in my kid’s basement when I’m retired.🤣

Looks like a good plan. My Roth IRA is completely in VTSAX (Vanguard Total Stock Market Index Fund). Figured you can't get more diversification that owning the entire US Market in one fund. I do all my investing through Chase YouInvest and Chase YouInvest-Roth.

Im looking to opening a Roth IRA but i wanted to know whats the difference between a regular TD ameritrade and a Roth i know its retirement but besides that is it just that the gains are taxed free after 59 1/2?

  6. Jeremy Ariche

So a Roth IRA is just an account to hold money in? Like if you don't buy, mutual funds, ETFs or stocks with it, then basically the money in your account won't grow?

  7. Kohl Buck

Hey man if you haven’t already I would invest in VTI it’s a vanguard total stock fund. Does very well

  8. Jonathan Ortiz

Hey Bruce can you do a video on going with M1 finance over Vanguard for opening a Roth. I'm currently debating who to go with. Given how far behind vanguard is with their website and app im leaning towards m1 at the moment.

  9. Jon Edward Querequincia

How is your Roth funded by mutual funds and ETFs? For mine I can only invest in mutual funds :/

  10. Tina T

Still learning the investment game and was curious why you chose to invest more in ETFs vs. mutual funds?

The fact that you started investing in retirement is a huge step that future Bruce will thank you. Don't second guess yourself because the market is down. You have at least 35 years of market growth and dividends in your favor so stick with your plan and reap the benefits. Good luck!
