my analogy of the stock market.

The current stock market. Is a termite infested dry rot it infrastructure. Somebody came along and put brand new siding on it. They also put brand new roof on it. Put new windows in. And made the grounds look really good. Then they decided to add new levels to it. This can only lead to a collapse. The foundation can’t support what they keep putting on top. The best bet is an intentional tear down to rebuild. Or we can pursue the course that 80% of you want to take. To continue to build until it collapses without warning.

    >The stock market is definitely not in a good place right now and it’s only going to get worse. The best bet would be to tear it down and start from scratch, but that’s not what most people want. They’re content to keep building until it all comes crashing down without warning.

One day, within the next two decades, there will be a break in trading, and the direct reason will be to prevent a flash crash. Then it will stay off – forever.

I think we can find a middle term. It’s clear that there are problems that need to be faced but it’s also true that the market is not some fragile old lady.
What we need is regulation/ a change on the modus operandi. What kind of measures should be taken you might ask? Well I do have some ideas but if I were that smart I wouldn’t be here seeing weird ass memes of JPOW and something to do with lube (y’all weird af).
Doomer mentality and “I wouldn’t be surprised for 90’s levels market in the future” are complete horse shit that comes around every couple years when people realise that the stock market isn’t just a free cash machine.

I’m not gonna make assumptions about your investments but I’ve seen dudes and dudettes here posting shit about how the market is unfair or that it doesn’t function properly when they make stupid ass decisions on garbage companies with dogshit financials and act surprised they got fucked.

Yes the market needs fixing but maybe we also need to understand that this shit is harder then we thought
