Great video! I’m kinda confused how are you investing $866 into a Roth IRA? I’m a fed employee too… maybe I missed something?

Great vid, thank you for sharing. I am in my 50’s so my time horizon is about 5 more years. In my opinion our 401k accounts balances are over leveraged and will impact retirement taxes at some point. We will do another back door Roth conversion this year and when we retire keep converting as it makes sense. My accnt is currently down over 200K. So, I am not sure how you will get the growth of 1.1 to 1.5m this year? We are now concentrating on growing our Roth 401k’s and Roth IRAs. In the process, I am also building out dividend payers and reits in both Roths and Qualified div payers in my brokerage accnt. Very similar as it appears you are doing. It takes planning to build out these account in a tax efficient income producing manner.

Great content as always! So, one question, exactly how far from retirement are you moving all TSP funds into C for stability? I currently have C (50%) and S (50%). I like the idea and understand it, just curious about your thoughts on the time frames.

Great stuff. Wife and I are currently Coast FI but staying the course to Fat FI. What’s your rationale for putting your TSP contributions into the Roth account opposed to taking the pre-tax deductions now and doing a Roth conversion ladder into a Roth IRA when your income is lower in retirement?
