Some notes and things I have learned from reviewing my past year:

    – Trading is extremely stressful. I have spent so many hours checking my portfolio. It’s definitely an addiction but it brings me pleasure too. It’s a complex beast that one must tame. You have to tame your emotions to be able to do this. Whenever i make a trade, i envision my life with 50% of that money gone so my mind is ready. I think i probably am addicted and might need therapy to figure out why i am addicted

    – High balance and money doesn’t change YOU. I still have things i need to work on in my life and seeing this money grow hasn’t really changed me in that regard. It is nice knowing i have a good buffer for emergencies or expenses but its not life changing (for me). Ouvbiously 300k would be life changing for someone with only like 2k to their name but im just speaking from my perspective

    – if you wanna enter a position that you plan to hold longer than a week, dont enter it all at once. do like 25% first and if that starts to turn green, do the rest. treat it like a little soldier going to battle. if he isnt killed immediately, send the rest of the army. you need proof the market agrees with you first

    – The trend is your friend. Why make bullish trades when we’re in a bear market? Just go with the breeze and be patient. When the trend changes again, you will know. You dont have to time the exact top or bottom

    – Most money is made sitting on your hands and ignoring volatility. I have never made good trades except a few lucky earnings plays by quickly going in and out of positions. Most of the best trades are just buying some options and sitting on it for a week or two or something.

    – Also, trading shares is underrated. I like buying/shorting shares too cuz I can trade after hours when earnings hit and stuff. You dont have to only touch options to make money

    – Speaking of earnings, they are binary bets – complete gambles. You cant accurately predict earnings. Treat it like a 100% gamble

good luck and happy new year family
