I am currently enrolled in L-2050 fund. I am thinking of doing an inter fund transfer but I am worried that the current share cost for L-2050 is around $23 a share and the current cost of the C fund is $51 a share and the S fund is at $62 a share which are the two shares I would move my balance too. Seems like I could lose money. I was thinking it might make more sense to move my entire balance to the L-2055 which is at about $11 a share. Any advice? Thank you.

I dont see L funds as new funds rather just new allocation chart with current funds but I'm 65C/35S. Thinking about a 60C/30S/10F

  12. raymond kizer

The L Funds in my opinion are too conservative and are too heavily weighed toward the G Fund.

  26. Denspion

I"ve never really known much about retirement and funds and such, by default i'm in L2040 100% but would like to start dipping my toe into other allocations as I learn more about how to allocate, currently I do 7% withdraw from my pay to TSP and like I said 100% L2040, for someone like me, what allocation would be good as a start?

Just got hired as a federal employee and I am currently contributing to my TSP. I am young (25) and I am willing to take the aggressive risk while I am able to. I looked at my TSP and they automatically enrolled me into the L2050. Although with the crash of the market I wanted to know what would be the best recommended allocation I could do to maximize my return in the years to come. Any advise or recommendations is appreciated !

Was in the G fund for a while, then moved to L2040 fund. and it's been there for a long time. Just moved to C fun at 90%, S fund at 10%. Let's hope this helps the overall TSP goals. Thanks for the info. 🙂

Great content! I've been investing into my Roth TST at 10% contribution now for about 5 years. I've got pretty familiar with the TSP but the one thing I really want to do is take it to the next step and use some of it to start investing in stocks outside of TSP. I'm a really aggressive invested, mainly because I'm okay with the risk and because I have plenty of time to retirement. Is there a way you can make a video explaining what the steps are to transfer money in and out of TSP for investing purposes?

  32. Jan Fernandez

DOW went down 10%, do I move everything back to the G or keep it in the C and S?
