So I'm assuming nomadic just buy these watches from San Martin and then slap their own logo and hands on it?

  2. tom bergman

    Good vid!
Looks like the watch has a C3 (green) lumen, but on there website it says a bw9?

  3. John Muthan

That's a rebranded aliexpress (SanMartin) watch that sells for around 400£. They even give you the possibility to rebrand has you wish for an extra 30£…

  4. Joaquin Sosa

I can't believe no one is talking about how this watch is a rebranded San Martin… with a considerable price mark-up

  5. Tara Smathers

I imagine that this is not "new news" to you, but you really should checkout San Martin. They are a company based in China with Belgian ownership. All that aside they really are fantastic quality and specs for your money, and most importantly, they stand behind their products. This almost exact version from them (which is more of a 1 to 1 copy than an homage per se) can be purchased from them with either the SW200 or PT 5000. The SW200 version can be purchased for $456. Great piece. Thanks for sharing it

For almost one thousand bucks, there are scads of better looking (and vastly more original) quality options available — Halios, Baltic, Lorier, RZE, Seals, Traska, Vero, CW and so on.

  7. Rydock

Yeah, that's just a rebranded San Martin SN008g that's been marked up in price. Same exact watch with different logo on the dial.

  8. almondbrowne

Nope, not a homage… just a copy and may as well be called a replica. I wouldn’t bother

I think it looks good id like it on a nato strap.

Great watch & video Andrew, I'm lucky enough to own a BB58 black & this is a great option for people looking for a cheaper alternative. At the end of the day, we all want the best, but the best options in life usually come at a cost, good luck to Nomadic.

Decent looking watch to be fair and the movement is one of my favourites. Just that hour hand that has me stumped pardon the pun. Other than that fair enough…

Personally I'm not a fan of homage but each to their own.
If I had a budget of £750 I'd either use that as a deposit on something better and take advantage of the 0% finance offered on tudor omega breitling etc.
Or get a nice tissot within that budget.

Looks good to me, no problems with homage watches. Looks like a quality piece. Crack on I say

  14. Michael Fierman

So yeah I think you said 750 british pounds. That's not an insignificant amount of money> Couldn't someone get a Christopher Ward for that price? ON the other hand it does look very well made. Great movement for sure for that price.Just not a fan of a copy of another person's or companies design team's work.

I don’t have a problem with the homage thing. If the quality is there at a decent price it’s fine . Personally don’t like the yellow hand think it would be far more uniformed if it was gold but understand they may want to be a little difficult. some people may like the difference and that’s fine ..

You may include paid product placements / endorsements on this video…

    Rola Cola is spot on

Well there’s taking inspiration and then there’s taking the p1ss! Size wise and proportions are great but the rivets for me, are an aspect they could have lost and gained a plus point. But the real biggy for me has to be the yellow second hand that is still a burnt image in my mind. Def spoiler IMO. I would say the seiko spb147 with a militat bracelet would be a nicer option for a few more quid.

I prefer it to the Tudor since I do not like the snowflake hand.
