Cajun Fried Turkey Wings | How To Make Turkey Wings #onestopchop

When it comes to cooking turkey, most people immediately think of roasting it for Thanksgiving dinner. However, there are many other delicious ways to prepare this versatile meat, and one of the most mouthwatering options is Cajun fried turkey wings. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, these turkey wings are bursting with Cajun flavor and are perfect for a weeknight dinner or a weekend cookout.

To make Cajun fried turkey wings, you’ll need the following ingredients:

– 2 pounds of turkey wings
– 1 cup of buttermilk
– 1 cup of all-purpose flour
– 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning
– 1 teaspoon of salt
– 1 teaspoon of black pepper
– Vegetable oil for frying

To begin, place the turkey wings in a large bowl and pour the buttermilk over them. Make sure the wings are completely coated in the buttermilk, then cover the bowl and refrigerate it for at least 2 hours, or overnight if possible. The buttermilk helps to tenderize the meat and infuse it with flavor.

In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper. This will be the coating for the turkey wings. Remove the turkey wings from the buttermilk and dredge them in the seasoned flour mixture, making sure they are well coated on all sides.

Next, heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the turkey wings in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry the wings for about 10-12 minutes, turning them occasionally, until they are golden brown and crispy. Use a meat thermometer to ensure that the internal temperature of the wings reaches 165°F.

Once the turkey wings are cooked, remove them from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil. Let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Cajun fried turkey wings are best enjoyed hot and fresh, and they pair perfectly with a side of coleslaw, potato salad, or macaroni and cheese. You can also serve them with your favorite dipping sauce for an extra kick of flavor.

The next time you’re in the mood for something different and delicious, give Cajun fried turkey wings a try. With just a few simple ingredients and easy cooking steps, you can enjoy a flavorful and satisfying meal that’s sure to be a hit with your family and friends. #onestopchop

That XL Butterball fryer is perfect for this. Canola oil has a higher smoke point than vegetable oil, if peanut oil isn't used.
