Hey, I’m new to trading options and so far I’ve just been gaining and losing the same amounts and not being able to make it past the amount of money I initially put in, what kind of options are good to pay attention to? I feel like the ones I pick haven’t been doing me any justice

Ok, if your new to this. And roughly break even. Your doing well. That’s a good start. I’d suggest narrowing down what you play options on to just a few tickers. Do as much research as possible. And get familiar with those companies and how they move. You can make money playing F if you know how it moves amd when it moves.

Buying ITM or OTM? Are they covered or nakie?
If shit’s green buy a SPY put. 30 DTE minimum. Take profits early and play again later.
Pay attention to overall advances/declines ~ that’s a hint whether it’s calls or puts to look at getting into. But focus further first on what *sector* swayed most heavily in the majority direction – keep odds more in your favor. Then drill down to any unusual option activity or price levels that saw the most volume & why…there’s a start…
