I love the content, but I’m from Spain and the majority of the information given is US based. How can I start a brokerage account in EU? Should I open an investment account with my local bank? How about ROTH IRA in EU? I’d love to see a bit more now that you are living in PT. Thanks both!

@Our Rich Journey, I'm currently investing 100% into VTI in my Roth IRA & 100% into the S&P 500 in my TSP account. But, I am 27 years old & starting to wonder how large my emergency fund should be & should I start saving for a home? Also, would you recommend adding any investments to either my IRA or my TSP account? Thanks.

With VUSXX are you able to take out funds at any time with out penalty? Is this like saving in a high yield savings account?

  22. Tony at IQautos

Do you have any recommendations on how to adjust your portfolio right now with the current market situation as of Jan 23 2022?

  23. Gchaser Sonthofer

I personally see a lot of different accounts many of which could have been covered with the Vanguard Total stock market account. Any income you receive from the Vanguard Real estate fund and Vanguard high Dividend account will be taxed annually at ordinary Dividend rate. This is OK if you need this income to live off of. If you don't need more income should be aiming for capital gains rate.

Do you pay taxes on gains in the brokerage account?
