Overnight Oats Recipe for a Nutritious Breakfast




Overnight Oats

Ingredients (per serving):
-1 cup milk, regular or plant-based
-3/4 cup oats, quick or old-fashioned
-3/4 cup frozen blueberries
-2 tbs protein powder
-1 tbs honey
-1 tbs nut or seed butter
-1 tbs pumpkin seeds, unsalted
-1 tbs sunflower kernels, unsalted
-1 tsp whole flax seeds
-1 tsp chia seeds
-1/4 tsp vanilla extract
-1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions:
-prepare deli containers or glass jars with lids
-add in all the ingredients except for the milk into the containers
-only add milk into the containers that you plan on eating within 1-2 days; this preserves the freshness and texture of the oats
-the containers without milk will last up to 5 days in the fridge; once you add milk, it will be good for 1-2 days
-once you pour milk in, allow it to sit in the fridge for at least 6 hours but preferably overnight before eating
-give each container a quick mix before eating
-once you eat one, pour milk into one of the dry containers to repeat the cycle and to always have one ready for the next day
