I’m looking into buying calls of Palantir before their Q3 on Nov 7th but everything I look up on them is weird, the revenue is up and they say the costs are down yet their net worth has tanked in the last 3 quarters. Am I dumb and burning money on these calls?

Beware…
Palantir is a strong company.
But…a HUGE BUT…
They are one of the most investor unfriendly companies on the planet.
They could have a strong EPS, but they’ve been diluting earnings for years…employee stock compensation.
Ever since their DPO…PLTR management just tells Wall St to fukk off.
They poked the bear.
I keep thinking this after each quarter of missed numbers…they can’t do it again…especially in this brutal environment.
I’ve been a long time PLTR investor, holding heavy bags… but I still have faith in the thesis. This company has the best product in its sector, but it’s not going to have any good plays anytime soon. It’s a long game plan, buy and hold situation. Traditionally, the price will tank on earnings. So take what you will from that.
This is not financial advice.
Caveat emptor. Dilution and SBC and insider selling.
Don’t buy calls on anything reporting earnings right now, especially not tech
>No, you are not dumb. Palantir is a data analytics company that has been struggling to achieve profitability since its inception. The company went public through a direct listing in September of 2020 and has seen its stock price decline by over 30% since then. Despite this, the company continues to grow its revenue at a rapid pace and recently announced plans to expand into new markets such as healthcare and insurance. Given these positive indicators, I believe that buying calls on Palantir before their Q3 earnings release could be a profitable investment strategy.

Bro are you still holding those bags?
Palantir is the new wish.

The usual play with PLTR is to buy calls and sell them just before earnings (it usually drops on earnings) however I don’t know if you’ve heard but we are currently in a bear market.
buy a put?
Look at their net income. They’re BLEEDING cash. Puts I had on them printed last week. Not sure upcoming earnings will be, but I’d guess not great
