EDH, also known as Commander, is a format of Magic: The Gathering where players construct a 100-card deck with a legendary creature as their commander. One of the most exciting aspects of EDH is building decks around powerful two-card synergies, also known as wombo combos. In this article, we’ll explore some powerful wombo combos that will take your EDH deck to the next level.

1. Deadeye Navigator + Palinchron

One of the most iconic EDH combos, the Deadeye Navigator and Palinchron synergy is a devastating engine that generates infinite mana and infinite creature ETB effects. With Deadeye Navigator’s ability to exile and flicker creatures, you can repeatedly bounce Palinchron back to your hand and generate infinite mana by tapping and untapping lands. You can use this mana to cast spells, activate abilities, or pump your creatures. There are many ways to abuse this wombo combo, including using it to draw cards, wipe the board, or make infinite tokens.

2. Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Triskelion

Mikaeus, the Unhallowed and Triskelion form a powerful combo that allows you to deal infinite damage to your opponents. Mikaeus’s ability to give all your creatures undying means that when Triskelion dies, it will come back with a +1/+1 counter, allowing you to remove the counter to shoot your opponents. You can repeat this process as many times as you want, dealing infinite damage to all your opponents. This combo is especially efficient because Triskelion can be reanimated with cards like Animate Dead, and Mikaeus himself can be tutored with cards like Demonic Tutor.

3. Sanguine Bond + Exquisite Blood

Sanguine Bond and Exquisite Blood form a classic combo that has been a staple in many mono-black and orzhov EDH decks. With Sanguine Bond on the board, every time you gain life, your opponents will lose an equal amount of life. With Exquisite Blood, every time an opponent loses life, you gain an equal amount of life. Combined, these two cards create a loop that will drain your opponents’ life total to zero in no time. You can even use this combo with cards like Vizkopa Guildmage or Crypt Ghast to generate even more life gain and drain effects.

4. Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Zealous Conscripts

Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker and Zealous Conscripts form a two-card combo that allows you to generate infinite hasty tokens that tap for mana or attack your opponents. With Kiki-Jiki’s ability to create a copy of any creature you control and Zealous Conscripts’ ability to untap target permanent and gain haste, you can create a loop where you create a copy of Zealous Conscripts, which in turn untaps Kiki-Jiki, allowing you to repeat the process as many times as you want. This combo is particularly effective because Zealous Conscripts can steal your opponent’s creatures or planeswalkers, deal damage to your opponent, or activate any abilities that require tapping.

5. Ad Nauseam + Angel’s Grace

Ad Nauseam and Angel’s Grace form a powerful combo that allows you to draw your entire deck while avoiding losing the game from Ad Nauseam’s life loss. With Ad Nauseam, you can pay any amount of life to draw that many cards until you reach the end of your deck. With Angel’s Grace, you can’t lose the game this turn and your opponent can’t gain life this turn, allowing you to safely draw all the cards you need without risking death. This combo is commonly used in combo-heavy decks that require specific cards to win, such as storm or reanimator decks.

These are just a few examples of the many powerful two-card synergies that exist in EDH. Whether you’re looking for infinite combos, life drain loops, or creature engines, wombo combos allow you to create unique and powerful strategies that will surprise and devastate your opponents. So, start brewing your favorite wombo combos and take your EDH game to the next level!

Definitely some fun things to try here…. I'm going reanimate Vilis first

  2. Paul Fong

I never laughed with you guys so much as I did talking about Gob Sharter going to phyrexia to clean house. Such a funny moment in fan flavor.

  3. _Zharciaxe _

The Radiant Performer and Chaos Warp combo with Psychogenic Probe. The probe deals 2 damage to any player that shuffles their library. Just stack their Chaos Warp triggers to resolve before yours. And yes, each copy of Chaos Warp causes the libraries to be shuffled. Even if you short cut to resolve all triggers and shuffle once, probe still deals 2 damage for each warp.

    ALL WILL BE………..BODY OF RESEARCH!!!!!

  5. lewis monaghan

Yedora + Life and Loam is where the real fire is

  6. Anton S

Sac outlet+Elenda+Hatred+Corps knight (+cordial vampire+whatever you want to throw in ETB)

  7. Jonathan Majewicz

Hurkylls recall is a less mean interaction with mycosynth lattice

  8. Marc-André Leysaht

If you’re looking for a commander where Pariah is actually a legit card, play Jared Carthalion, True Heir :^)

  9. EstrelaChrono

karn the great creator is quite mean with the lattice too and is a colorless wombocombo and brash taunter + guilty conscience is a lethal combo

  10. Florian Schwarz

Neoform/Eldritch Evolution/Birthing Pod and Arena Rector in Superfriends decks that play Deepglow Skate. Sacrifice Arena Rector as the cost, search for any planeswalker from your deck and double its counters right away with the Deepglow Skate you searched.

  11. chris black

    Kitty cat! So cute

  12. Swifter

My favorite 2 card combo with Enchanted Evening is Aura Thief. Why go through the trouble of destroying everything and returning your stuff when you can just take all the permanents in play for yourself.

  13. Dirty French

Splinter + Liquimetal Coating. Make their basic land into an artifact, Splinter it, then search their hand, gy, and library for all copies of that land and exile them. Stupid against mono color decks lol.

  14. Scott Chance

In my Oloro deck, I love one shotting someone with False Cure which has whenever a player gains a life, they lose two life for each one gained, then targeting another player with Beacon of Immortality that doubles another player’s life total. 8 mana, but is able to just wipe someone out instantly is nice.

  15. Razgrizace67

Zombie Master plus Urborg is basically same Wombo Combo as Elvish Champion and Yavimaya.

  16. Razgrizace67

Love the subtle flex of putting the YouTube award on the top shelf

  17. Mike Ashe

I have to say i honestly feel like you two are the most endearing and down to earth mtg CCs I have come across. Thank you so much for all the work you put into these videos and sharing your knowledge base with us

  18. Eric Griffin

Great video. One of my favorite wombo combos is Delina, Wild Mage + Port Razer for infinite combat steps.

  19. Mountain of Peaches

Instead of Chaos Warp, use Wild Magic Surge w/ Radiant Performer. Destroy all your opponents' stuff, and they get a new board. It's a win-win.

  20. Wesley Pollek

Instant thumbs up for seeing Radiant Performer, my favorite! One time I used that card to respond to my opponent's agent of treachery trigger and instantly ended the game

  21. Seth the Ace

The only way seize the spotlight doesn't cast dargo is if everyone gives you creature and you have no mana open.
