@The Money Guy Show.I understand that in many video's you stress investing in an index target date retirement fund. But, my question would be how would something stack up to investing into something like the S&P 500 from Vanguard (VOO)? Thanks.
No, growth in Roth is a terrible idea. High yield dividend stocks belong in a Roth. No taxes on and dividend payments.
Growth in standard account. Long term gains (low taxes rate). And can deduct losses if needed.
If someone is getting a later start (e.g., 40s or 50s), would the "target date" plan work for them, or would they need to invest in riskier-but-potentially-higher-yield funds, to catch up for lost time?
