Hi Mark, thanks for the content. If I live and have an LLC in California, but also work and do transactions deals in other states such as New York, Florida, Ohio, Texas and Kansas. Does that mean I need to get an LLC for each of those states as well, a total of 5 more LLC. Or will my California LLC suffice for those 5 states I just mentioned?
After recently finding your channel, are videos like this from 4 years ago still applicable….meaning has tax code or law changed in the last 4 years, RE: this video?
This can all be fairly overwhelming, but my original understanding was that it was worth doing this because of how expensive self employment tax is. Wouldn’t my spouse be taxed at a lower rate, all things considered, than if I made everything under my LLC?

Thanks for the video. If I have HSA, do I still need HRA? I max out HSA and put in index fund. We don't have lots of medical expense, so is it better just stay with HSA since we can earn from stock. and HRA cant?

My wife works for a company that offers a 401K plan but she doesn't participate. I am retired but I do gig work. I am a SAG AFTRA union member but I don't work for SAG. When I work for Central Casting (W-2 preparer) it is in essence on a contract basis. But because I am SAG AFTRA my W-2 states my employer offers a retirement plan. I make so little money that I will never achieve the monetary credits it takes to obtain benefits from the SAG AFTRA pension plan. I want to contribute to my wife's traditional IRA but it is deemed non deductible for tax purposes because it appears my "employer" offers a retirement plan. Any IRS rulings you are aware of that would allow me to make a tax deductible IRA contribution given my circumstances? (Married filing jointly).
Can putting a spouse on pay roll help with a future alimony defense? Tactic currently reading more about.

Thanks for this informative video Mark. I've been considering adding my wife (who has a day job & company 401K or some retirement) into my S Corp and participate with my Solo 401K. But I've been told that her fica and other taxes does not merit the deductions I would get for my S Corp. Sounds different what you explained here, do I need consultation with you?

Does the HRA thing still apply? I was looking into that, but it seems self-employed can't do it? Also, Mark, I tried to get with your office on another matter (one of your clients recommended you), but the slow texting vs a phone call with a human was unsettling (fyi).

1. Can I do both, put my spouse as a W2 employee in my s-corp and he be a sole prop for the HRA?

This is a great video. Thank you for making all of this important, money-saving information out there…and explaining it so well too! One question: I want to fund my Individual Roth 401k so that it grows tax free. I'll hire my wife too, like you described, by having her max out her Roth 401k. My question is on the extra 25 percent for each of us. I was told that it had to be in a regular 401k…and only maybe later converted to the Roth. I want everything to grow tax free.
Can you briefly explain this one point about the extra 25 percent please? Thank you!

Hi Mark, question..i work fulltime 5 days a week in w2 payroll making$22/hr 8-6pm. My wife just start part time job working 5 days a week 10am-3pm making $25/hr. Her company told her to file 1099, but i told her it’s better to file w2 because next year, i’m afraid i wont get much return from tax return for 2019. Which one is better for us when we file join tax next year? let her file 1099 or w2? Thank you Mark
