Skye’s SimCity 60 Sec Tips – No. 4 – Fast Money Without Bonds

SimCity is a game that requires constant balance between expenses and income. There are a lot of ways to make money in the game, but many players turn to bonds as a quick way to make extra cash. However, bonds come with a cost – players have to pay interest on them, which can quickly add up and become a burden. In this tip, Skye shows players how to make fast money without resorting to bonds.

The key to making money quickly in SimCity is to focus on developing your city’s export potential. This means building industries that produce goods that can be sold to other cities for a profit. The most profitable industries tend to be those that produce electronics, oil, and metals.

To increase your export potential, it’s important to build a solid transportation infrastructure. This means having good roads and highways, as well as efficient rail connections and airports. You also want to make sure you have plenty of available land for industrial zoning, as well as ample resources like oil and ore.

Once you have your industries up and running, you can start selling your goods to other cities on the global market. This will earn you a steady stream of income that you can reinvest in your city to further grow your export potential. Additionally, you can also sell excess water and power to other cities for a profit.

Another way to make fast money without resorting to bonds is to invest in the stock market. Every time a new business is established in your city, it will be listed on the stock market. You can buy shares in these businesses and sell them for a profit when their value increases. This requires some research and timing, but with a little bit of effort it can pay off big time.

Overall, making money in SimCity requires a bit of patience and strategic planning. By focusing on developing your export potential and taking advantage of the stock market, you can quickly increase your city’s income without resorting to costly bonds. With a little bit of effort and some smart investments, you can build a thriving city that generates plenty of revenue to fund all of your future development plans.

Whether this has changed through up-to-date patching, or YOU hadn't noticed…but the Sims do get angry about high tax rates.

  2. JB N

I have found that I can let it roll for about 2-3 hours without the SIMS knowing it. Or perhaps just a handful.

  3. toilet paper

Just go on to 100% or higher (if it's possible) and boom rich ass

  4. Jo Montanee

My god. It's like in real life. Our government steal our tax money from us without our knowing! Darn.

  5. TVShortShort

Haha, this is a secret robbery mission by the government! And no one knows why their money gone when they wake up!

  6. TakingThePizz

Devious and underhanded, I knew you had it in you.

Skye Storme Am I starting to bug you yet?

  7. Tim GALLOIS

Money IS happiness in the game. By taxing, you're cutting their income, even for a second.

  8. Blazur

Clever. Does this still work given all the latest patches since this video?

  9. Manik Sethisuwan

have you see his other videos? you're the only probably fooling yourself. most tips nobody has even mentioned anywhere else on the internet!

  10. RedDragonEmporer

Reminds me of a similar exploit in the original SimCity for SNES. Accept, right after you decrease the spending to 0 and get the money, you'd have to exit then reload the city.

  11. ieatstheinternet

sure it your working around the intentions of the game. its a 1 player game so your only fooling yourself. do what you wish. i just think your dumb for doing it. go play sandbox and safe yourself the superficial hassle.

  12. Tyler Kupcho

I already figured this out myself 😛 It is one of the easier tips and is one of them that shows the stupidity of sims.

  13. Skye Storme

This is NOT an exploit as confirmed by MaxisLittleTuna .. go to the EA forums and ask him.

  14. ieatstheinternet

this is an exploit. if people want free money just play sandbox mode. i never understood why people use tricks like this or letting the game run over night when they could just play sand box. your just tricking yourself.

  15. Skye Storme

    Just before ANY hour ??:55

  16. Skye Storme

    Definitely 😀

  17. Peter K

this is a rather cheap exploit..

  18. Jon S

oh, and very much enjoying the quick videos. can't wait for a let's play… i wanna see your traffic solutions! =)

  19. Jon S

you must have sims with money for this to work. if you take it all with taxes at the hour they will not be able to pay rent and become severely unhappy. my happiness dropped from 80 to 65 after doing this twice in a day. solution: zone only res. and ind. and build parks to keep them happy enough. they'll make money and won't be able to spend it. once you have enough cash just rezone your comm. where your plan calls for. afterwards, just tax gouge the comm. or ind. and you'll be fine.

  20. Mark T

    60sec cheat? o.O

  21. tiberiocamargo

1 – start a cit 2 – ploT low roads and low RCI everywhere 3 – sims will build everything hence money will come 4 – sims are angry because no water/power and leave 5 – bulldoze and number 3 will repeat itself

  22. Caiden Talazus

The more you take, the less they have for paying the rent, buying stufff… ?
It may be interresting to have a look on this…

  23. Skye Storme

You can do it a surprising number of times before you will get any complaints .. you can EASILY do it 3-4 times a day and usually a lot more
