Expanding the knowledge of board of trustees for Uganda’s 66 retirement investment schemes with nearly 2.4 million members, will now attract certification as a key qualification or requirement for the job. The Finance Minister and the Uganda Retirement Benefits Regulatory Authority say strengthening governance structures of these schemes, will supplement government’s efforts to extend coverage and build trust among the savers, which is the main impediment affecting growth within the sector today.
