And just hope like HELL that you don't get hospitalized 1,or 2, or 3 times, if you might if you have some kind of disability.

The entire finance industry needs to be abolished. Rich people don’t deserve to get paid for the fact they are rich

When you invest you're buying a day you don't have to work

This video opened my eyes and confirmed what I have believed for years. Grown men who wear class rings are just plain weird.

Holy crap! Gene Hackman is still alive and Daniel Craig is still attractive!

It would be awesome to do an update on retirement savings and investment since there are new regulations and low fees have become a selling point.

got plenty of money, but can't retire.. it stops.. i'm only 78 and would like to slow down, but others have such needs it impacts me. oh, well..it'll soon be over

The 5 things to do to save for retirement:
    1) Start Saving Now.
    2) Invest in Low-Cost Index Funds & leave it alone, check on it about once a year.
    3) If you have an advisor, ask if they're a fiduciary.
    4) As you get older, gradually shift your investments from stocks to bonds.
    5) Try to keep your fees under 1%, they compound and even .1% difference can really duck you.

As of today… Gene Hackman is still alive.

401ks, everything everyone tells you to do, and all your financial woes will be wonderful, you'll retire, you'll have sex for the rest of your life, are all an effin joke. put the shiz under your mattress.

I got whiplash when Obama was shown to be president I didn’t realize 6 years ago was so long ago

What took you so long to get a retirement plan going anyway?

  18. Trade Kings

American workers are experiencing unprecedented declines in their real incomes, which is why record numbers have been forced to work multiple jobs to make ends meet. When we talk about 9.1% inflation, the media acknowledged the true rate of inflation of about 18%?

  19. DrakonIL

I checked, and yes, Gene Hackman is still alive!

  20. Joonha Shcal

Even Warren Buffet knows that active funds are bullshit. He bet a stack that no hedge fund could outperform the S&P500 for a decade. He said that in 2007 and he still won in 2017.

Edit: The worst financial meltdown since 1929 happened in 2008, if you need a refresher.

I did start saving "yesterday" I started a "low risk" IRA in 2005, I contributed 5% of my check for 3-4 years with my employer matching 3%. It was completely wiped out in 2008-09…..THEN I kept at it until 2020 when it was completely wiped out again. In fact both times that happened, not only was it wiped out, I ended up in the negitive because somehow, I still had to pay the fees with a zero ballance. I wpuld have been MUCH better off buying old Nintendo games. If I had I would have made returns of up to 300%! The game is rigged, so now my "retirement plan" is a .45 to my dome whn I get sick of working in my 70's

Retirement at some point in life is needed<<hence investing towards it is crucial, diversification is the key when it comes to investing, that's why I engage in sectors based on projected growth. I'm currently investing in stocks and crypto & this made me my first million with the help of a licensed US broker, Marnell English, who trades for me. I met her at a trade seminar in NY & she agreed to trade for me. I recommend her to investors looking to work with a broker >too.

It's insane that most people don't understand that wealth is accumulated over generations. They really think that the majority of rich people "struck it rich". So sad.

  24. Jeff Rushton

Anyone who invested in a good index fund after this should be doing pretty well even with this economy

  25. Moth Man

    I miss seeing retirement ads.

Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got talking about investment and money. I started investing with $120k and in the first 2 months , my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and gets more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.

  28. DaL33T5

Sweet, I have a job with a 401k and finally have an excuse to watch this again!

  29. ctdieselnut

The biggest funniest joke of this whole episode is the fact that many of the big shot hedge fund managers cant beat a simple index fund. Or even a cat that picks stocks at random. How funny is that, huh? Your retirement, haha! Golden years!?, lmao! Ah, fuck you all.

  30. Julie Jensen

    John gives excellent advice.

  36. Daniel Jamal

Well that would be impossible to do considering I'm in my late 50s and I'm more interested in investments that could set me up for retirement in my 60s, my goal is at least $2million.

  37. Julie Anna Clark

Awww he said president and it was Obama. Nice times.
