As an investor, it is no surprise that market fluctuations and fluctuations in our portfolio value are a part of the game. Sometimes things go up, and sometimes things go down. This is the nature of investing, and it can be both exciting and nerve-wracking.

Today my Rollover IRA lost $359.85, which might seem like a considerable amount of money to some. However, I want to point out that over the past two weeks, I have made $7,246.77 in that same account. That is a significant gain in a short amount of time, and it outweighs the current loss.

I am not sharing this to brag, but rather to highlight the importance of taking a long-term view of our investments. It is easy to get caught up in the emotions of daily fluctuations, but we must remember that investing is a long-term game. As such, we should focus on the bigger picture and not let the small bumps in the road distract us from our goals.
