You don’t have to wait till 70 years old to withdraw from your Roth. You can start withdrawing after 59 1/2 years old. Right?

With a contribution of $6,000/year, all you need is good stock that pay dividends in a Roth-IRA and patience.

My Roth IRA is such a source of joy! Our income dipped drastically this year (scary), but the silver lining is that my husband and I were both able to contribute to our Roth's (an awesome feeling). I've had mine since I was 17. Retirement is way less stressful when you start your investments and compounding interest early. This is such a great overview and a real service to your viewers. Thank you for sharing! p.s. my favorite investments are "set it and forget it" sorts of index funds (Vanguard total stock market index, etc., just like you mention). I feel no stress about it. Glad you're recommending the same. Low fee is the way to go!
