I had a chat with a fiduciary whom I came across today. she’s a pro and we got talking about investment and money. I was in shock when she told me that investing $2000 monthly in ETF and STOCKS with an average of 12% compounding annually in 20 years will give me $1 million. It gets even more interesting. The total contributed is $480,000 whereas interest earned is around $4,224,000. Crazy right! I immediately got investing as I don’t want to miss out on the opportunity.

Is it allowed to get money from this account and invest in another business while the balance remaining continue to run? If "Yes" Is there a penality for that?

Nice.i just started at 38 years old. my gen never really had easy access to stocks not to mention the seemly free education now over the net on stocks…..
I set up a roth ira also with $500 and committed to $500/month. Bought shares in:
    1. vti
    2. vxus
    3. bnd

Selected to have dividends and returns automatically reinvested…. At this rate with this account i will retire at 67 with $1.2 million….
    Wish i had more time.

Start early kids. If you are 20 years old you can go onto vanguard.com open roth ira account for $500, invest in the funds above and set up auto invest at $100/month from your checking acct. You can retire at 60 with $600k with 10% return on investment over these years. If you invest $200/month into the account thats is $1.2 million at 60 to retire with….

This sounds like the equivalent to the TFSA (Tax-Free Savings Account) in Canada. I recently started investing into my TSFA for retirement and I wish I would've done it sooner. I'm in my late 20's. However, I'm glad I still started.

You should do a second part to this and share what you specifically invested in. Were they ETFs, Mutual funds or individual stocks?

Hi, college student here! Is it possible to open a Roth ira without a job but has grants from Fafsa to contribute?

  14. CLUTCH_AND STICK

Nice Video, I'm subscribing. I've had a Vanguard Roth for a about 8 months now. The sign up process can be confusing. I opened some Stock Investing Accounts with M1 and it was infinitely easier. If M1 has a Roth IRA Option, I'd check it out. It will definitely give you access to Vanguard ETFs.

If I set my account up to automatically take $115.00 per week, will it automatically buy into whatever ETFs I have set up? If for example the etf cost 150$ will it automatically buy in that increment or once you pay for the etf does it just keep adding money into it! Thank you for the video I have my account open, just trying to figure out how it works for beginners.
