    (2) QUICK THINGS TO ADD TO THE VIDEO:

    1. I jacked up the RMD Age. The SAFE Act in Dec 2019 DID raise the age to 72 for required minimum distributions on a Traditional IRA and 401k.

    2. You MUST be earning employment income to be contributing to a Roth IRA. =)

I have a robo advisor doing my Roth, but it mostly goes into bonds and that makes me a little agitated. Would it better if I took control and just put the funds into a total stock market index fund? Also just subscribed, thanks for the valuable info!

I came here to learn how to invest after listening to a guy on radio talk about the importance of investing and how he made $960,000 in 4 months from $160k, somehow this video has helped shed light on some things, but I'm still confused, I'm a newbie and I'm open to ideas.

    Great Info Thanks!

So joe, I want to ask you a question. Back in 2020 I opened a Robinhood account and in early 2021 I got to know dividends and I’ve been putting $800/month into Voo, schd, Appl, abbv, and Visa
I know it’s not a Roth IRA account. Should I continue doing this this with Robinhood or do I really need to open an Roth IRA account? I’m 30 years old. Thanks for your great content ❤️

I love your videos, however, it seems like some of your projections might be overly optimistic. I say this because you tend to use the last 10-15 years as a basis for forward projections. And that last period has been unprecedented in its positive returns.
I'd like to see you make more videos based on negative projections (I think the dividend strategy will still work) like your recent video comparing the dividend ETFs in a down market.
    Keep up the great work!

RMD age is now 72 … I think

My Roth IRA is down 50 percent over 9 years. The stock market likes to take your money. The average person also has trouble funding IRAs.

I have a 401k with my employer, theres no match, theres the option of converting to a Roth 401k, would it be wise to make that conversion especially since there's no employer match?

Question, I believe it would take around 8 years of investing into QYLD to obtain 6K (Roth IRA) in dividends a year. You would then have 6K in dividends and 6K that you can invest into SCHD after those 8 years correct? Would that be a viable strategy? TIA.

I think you need to stop showing that ball graphic………..it's worn out now…lol…..and the wush noise…..it's not Disney.

I’m 44 and just barely opened a Roth 401k at work last year. Knowing that I need to catch up, I recently opened a Roth IRA on my own. Am I too late to retire comfortably???

  13. Hunter of Dividends

The Roth IRA is the perfect account for those REITs with the dividends taxed as ordinary income in a normal taxable account!

  14. ByteMe

All well and good, but because my wife and I are not bums and have jobs, our dirty American Gestapo (IRS) doesn’t “allow” us to contribute anything to any IRA account. We’re too rich, apparently (not), and not “eligible.” That’s really a crime. Disgusting tyrannical government.

Hey Joe do you invest in bhp or krp stocks in the dividend portfolio? Thanks

Roth Ira is a good long term investment. what do you think of "SNT".?

You cannot take out your contributions from ROTH IRA, I tried. They want 10%

Great video, I would love to see about the differences between 401k and Roth 401k. Can I ask for a Roth 401k instead of a traditional 401k from my employer?
