Backdoor Roth IRA every January. You got to have a plan and do it correctly, but it is such a great deal it is worth your time. For this reason, I keep MY IRA at 0 dollars all year and do my IRA contribution and then roll it to my Roth IRA every January. My wife has an IRA balance, so this doesn't work for her. But it has allowed me to maximize my Roth IRA over the last 10 years and it is a great tool to have going forward. I highly recommend it.
