The Cork/Tipp rivalry is one of the most iconic in Irish sport. The hurling teams from these neighbouring counties have been battling it out on the pitch for over a century, and the intensity of the rivalry shows no sign of abating.

This weekend sees the latest chapter in this storied rivalry, as the two teams meet in the Munster Senior Hurling Championship. Both sides will be determined to secure a win, not only to claim bragging rights but also to progress in the championship.

Meanwhile, Limerick’s hurling season has been dealt a serious blow following their defeat to Clare in the Munster Championship. The All-Ireland champions now face an uphill battle to defend their title, and will have to regroup quickly if they want to remain in contention.

In the race for third place in Leinster, several teams are vying for a spot in the knockout stages of the competition. Dublin, Wexford and Laois are all currently in contention, with each team having their own strengths and weaknesses.

Dublin have had a mixed season so far, but have shown flashes of their potential. They will be hoping to build on their recent win over Antrim and carry that momentum into their final games.

Wexford, on the other hand, have been inconsistent but have proven they can compete with the best on their day. They will be looking to replicate their impressive victory over Kilkenny earlier in the season as they aim to secure a place in the next round.

Finally, Laois have surprised many with their performances this season. They have already secured wins over Antrim and Carlow, and will be confident they can cause an upset and progress further in the competition.

No matter the outcome of this weekend’s matches, one thing is certain – the passion and intensity of hurling in Ireland will continue to captivate fans both at home and abroad.

Not showing these games on Tv is absolutely appalling by the GAA, plenty of people who can’t use streaming due to lack of good internet in rural areas, can’t afford to pay to watch it or elder people who love hurling wouldn’t be great with technology etc. GAA go is great for people overseas etc but these big matches have to be on Rte or TG4

Cant afford to watch all the hurling now.
