If you’re thinking about investing with your self-directed IRA into real estate, you probably realized, “Hey, I don’t want own the property directly in my IRA because if anything goes wrong, then someone could sue my IRA.”

We talk about protecting real estate on this channel, about how to use limited liability companies, but here’s what happens when you want to use it with your self-directed IRA.

That operating agreement that you set up has to be a very specific LLC operating agreement.

In this video, we’re going to talk about how not to mess up an LLC that’s going to be owned by your self-directed IRA.

Can my daughter be the registered agent for my SDIRA? She will not be a "paid" RA. Also, can she be an additional manager of the LLC? ….. OR…. would that cause us BOTH to have to sign each check from the bank?

Clint, are you able to set up a self-directed IRA LLC for a client in Texas? I will be opening a company (an LLC) in healthcare, can the SDIRA invest in it and own shares? Thanks.

I’m too new to this topic to understand your kind advice. Could you send me to some more remedial educational material so that I can understand this? For example, I don’t know what a self-directed IRA is and I didn’t know that an IRA can own real estate.

Can you own an apartment complex (5+ units) inside a SDIRA?

Good content. This takes my knowledge of SDIRAs in conjunction with LLCs to a new level, thank you.

If an investor is buying properties utilizing an LLC holding company, should that holding company's bank account (cash) be held by another entity or trust? A video on strategies to protect your net cash reserves would be great.
