Great video! What is the best way to deal with the SEP IRA balance if I want to do a backdoor Roth IRA and avoid the aggregation rule?

I left a company after 4 years of employment and asked the company holding my SEP if I could keep the IRA with them even though I am no longer with the company and they said “yes”. However, they did say they would “note” that I left the company but would leave the SEP under the original company. Does that sound right?

With regard to the SEP IRA and converting a from a traditional Ira to a Roth, you said it will be taxed on the amount within the SEP. Is a 401K the same thing? If I have a Solo 401K and convert from traditional to a Roth, is there tax on the amount in the 401K? Thanks.
