Hi Lauren! Why do you invest through your IRA as opposed to your a brokerage investment account?

Good video! A bit high on international exposure, but that is ok if you have a 25 year timeline to retire.

My Roth IRA is 100% VTSAX.. I own 274 shares today. Def maxing it out every single year

    I wish I started earlier!!

At 24/25ish I started contributing to my 401k once I transitioned to a company that matched. I use a target date fund here.

At 31 I opened a Roth IRA and started to max it out. I use Fidelity and a 3-fund strategy- total market, total international market, and instead of bonds right now I invest 5% in a a small cap value index. I read an article that suggested it and it made sense. Small cap has seen great returns since covid. The fidelity total market funds are FREE with NO FEES! Love that option.

    Great video!

Just curious why you chose to invest so much in the stock fund so much more than the target fund? I'm newer to investing and I want to learn as much as possible. Currently I'm in just an aggressive target date fund

Loved this video! My husband and I both have target date retirement funds. I’m not working anymore, so I’m thinking about rolling mine over to a spousal IRA, but I’d probably choose a target date fund again, just because it keeps things simple.

    Nice and simple. That works

I’m always so curious what others are invested in, thanks for sharing! I think it’s super important that you shared your simple strategy. Most people on YouTube who share their investments have a super complicated approach and it doesn’t need to be that way. This is much more digestible for most people (myself included) and shows that investing doesn’t have to be hard
