Every woman over 50 wants to look and feel their best, and makeup can be a great way to accomplish that. But when it comes to makeup for women over 50, it’s important to keep it simple. Too much makeup can make you look older than you are, and can be difficult to apply and maintain.

The key to a simple everyday makeup routine for women over 50 is to focus on the basics. Start with a light moisturizer, which will help keep your skin hydrated and looking its best. Follow this with a light foundation or tinted moisturizer, which will even out your skin tone and provide a bit of coverage.

Next, use a neutral eyeshadow and a light eyeliner to define your eyes. Use a waterproof mascara to add volume and length to your lashes. For lips, use a lip balm or a light lip gloss. This will help keep your lips hydrated and looking their best.

Finally, use a light blush to add a bit of color to your cheeks. Choose a shade that is close to your natural skin tone to keep it looking natural.

Remember, when it comes to makeup for women over 50, it’s important to keep it simple. Too much makeup can be difficult to apply and maintain, and can make you look older than you are. Stick to the basics and you’ll look and feel your best.

This tutorial, it really helped me with your color choices. I am a very fair blonde with similar skin tone to you. Your make up looked great when you completed The video and you took your time showing us each step and explaining each product and how to apply it. Great job.

I recently started watching your channel and I really been enjoying especially the styles and fashion videos. I also like makeup too. To be honest with you. You did a great job for our age. Because I don’t like to put too much stuff on my face. Please do some more beauty videos. Thank you.

Kay, I love your videos. The classic put together look makes the most sense. I live in a wonderful community in the GA mountains and I am so surprised as to how many women give up on themselves as they age. God wants us to be the best we can be in all aspects of our lives. I was told as a child that we give respect to people by being groomed and wearing clean clothing. Of course as we grow older we choose our clothing more wisely. It does not have to be name brand but put together well. As you have mentioned in previous videos, limit your color combinations at a peak of three. If you're groomed and stick to classic attire how can you not feel put together. It is really simple.

You’ve inspired me to start wearing makeup again. I’ve had so many issues with sensitive eyes that I’ve given up.
Just curious, why do you put your eyes on first? I’ve only ever seen foundation first

  9. Peggy Wood

Thank you for putting yourself out there as a first timer… you did a great job and you look beautiful! I will check out the eyebrow pomade as I, too, have blonde/gray, sparse brows.

  14. Margaret Cavin

I didn’t know you were the same person, seeing you with and without your make up. You are such a lovely!
My issue is with the eyebrows. The left is more substantial than the right. I’m just really nervous about doing much to them mainly because I don’t know how or what to do. I have silver grey hair and I think making them too dark will look really unnatural. Do you have any suggestions as to where I might find some instruction on how to create eyebrows with a lighter appearance.

  15. Ann Malloy

    Beautiful lady, inside and out

You can also use a damp wipes or paper towel to catch the eye shadow powder, some eyeshadows are very sticky, so you can use the wipes to dab or lightly wipe off the powder, gtips are good for dabbing the creases of eyes if eye makeup start running. Take your vitamins early morning before you get up, your skin will glow in the daytime, drinking water is very essential also a positive attitude throughout the day, less grimacing. Creates wrinkles.

  18. Donna Morales

Hi Kay! What do you think of Bomber jackets? Can over 60 wear them?

  19. Leticia Inocentes

Why don’t you use Marykay skin care line? I’ve been using it since 1987 and the skin care products Have changed
Have changed as my skin ages. The makeup seems to go better together if shades or items are available
In the colors you like. I noticed you are using several different product lines.
I learned some great tips and will have to watch again
Thank you for making this video!
