You may need as much as $2.6 million to maintain your current lifestyle due to inflation, which will continue to be impacted by high inflation, lower market returns or value projections, and stagnant wages. Achieving a secure early retirement may be more challenging than ever.

As a Russian myself, I can say that this woman is a joke dude, she should write fantasy stories, not serious, political analysis. Her story about internal fighting between siloviki and military in Russia was very fascinating, but completely fictitious. Putin controls all and everything in Russia and his people are in booth FSB and MOD. If you think otherwise you just crazy or blind or want to sound knowledgeable but not. If it is the same level of analysis on other regions than I sorry for people who make decisions based on this.

stick to what you do best folks, this wasn't a useful episode and is completely anecdotal, the geopolitics section was very poor (thank you Harley for getting them back on track). Anyone who applies critical thinking can see through the blabber of the first half… you guys shine when you talk about Simplify/Markets !
P.S. just look at the number of likes compared to your other videos!

  4. Emanuele

I love each single movie quoted by Mike applied to the markets… my fav one so far was the quote of Tommy Lee Jones in the fuggitive "I don't care" – keep on doing that Mike i love it

  5. james headings

I agree with Harley on inflation. There are of course deflationary forces at play but the simple fact that energy production has seen suppressed capitalization for decades will again determine the general direction.

  6. Poochie

Okey, I am going to buy a helmet. Also inflation is not transitory. It will come down and explode again. Especially when the US-Dollar really tanks. Because the US-Dollar will sell-off, latest next year.

  7. Carutsu

    Rfk rofl she's absolutely crazy

  8. José Ignacio Marín

I don't think she is right about solar power from space.

  9. Michael Afanasiev

The last world war was won primarily through air power. Can stop watching right there.

  10. Greg Smith

Fantastic content, it’s important to see the works as it really is. So while it’s very frightening in some areas, if we can rise to the challenges ahead there is a light at the end of the tunnel. On inflation, it all depends on the time horizon you consider. Short to medium term we are in an inflationary environment with consistent above trend inflation (though possibly moderating slowly). Long term (10 to 15 years), if we manage to not get in a hot war and trends in demographics & tech continue, deflation is the most likely outcome.

  11. Taylor Collins

When did Putin “ask the Russian military to execute a nuclear strike”? She repeated this premise multiple times in the interview with no source… pure fear mongering hyperbole

  12. Nick B

She lost credibility when she went on MacroVoices and amplified Russian disinformation about secret US bio labs in Ukraine.
She continues to exaggerate this Svalbard cable story as well. The cable disruption affected signal repeaters and no core functionality was lost.
These might seem like slight nitpicks but why is she the “chosen” expert on Russia relations when there are actual experts like Michael Koffman readily available

  13. James Robertson

Love to hear from Pippa as her perspective is always enlightening. However, as another commenter below points out, her idea for space based solar power would make the U.S. vulnerable, as it would become an obvious and easy target for our enemies. Distributed ground based power is a lot harder for an enemy to take out, unless the war goes full nuclear and the enemy hits us with air bursts to create a nationwide EMP (Something DOD strategists have been warning about for years and arguing we need to harden the grid). Of course, if an enemy hits us with air bursts, then we're back to the old version of WWIII.

  14. ninefox

I can't shake the feeling that Pippa is a master bullshitter. She gets so many easy googeable things wrong. The svalbard cable sabotage didn't bring the ground station down because it was one of two redundant cables. You do not need satellites for internet to work. We've been able to shoot down satellites for decades though not ones in geostat. Not that she's wrong about everything but at best she is incredibly loose with the facts. At least around the geopolitical/military stuff. Her takes around RFK made more sense to me.

  15. Clayton Wilson

satellites directing unlimited energy from space? Sorry but she doesn't have a clue what she's talking about.

  16. 27

How much does a penny cost to make 2023?

It now costs 2.4 cents to obtain the materials to make a penny and roughly three-tenths of a cent for administrative and distribution costs, for a final tally of 2.72 cents per penny produced in fiscal 2022. In 2020, before the Biden administration and the round of severe inflation, a penny cost 1.76 cents to produce

The Mint's cost for each Jefferson nickel was 10.41 cents.

  17. daniel bertges

Mike, excellent question but how about we give Russia the Donbas, relax the war drums on Taiwan and fix the broken lower and middle class in America. Time for our elites to stop their games.

  18. daniel bertges

What’s the last war the USA won? Desert Storm 1? How about before that?

  19. daniel bertges

Homeless guy I knows gets kicked out of his shelter each morning because the city doesn’t have money for social services wonders why our government spends billions on Ukraine and F35s. Please explain

  20. daniel bertges

Wait a second. Doesn’t the US own and patrol the South China Sea?

  21. daniel bertges

“Oh by the way we solved global energy needs with green mirrors.” I promise you, it works.

  22. daniel bertges

It’s grossly incorrect for her to say the Russian leader wants to use nuclear weapons

  23. Eric M

    Super interesting episode

  24. G Mil

    inflation is religion lol harley

  25. John Taylor

Couple of scary things about the idea of solar power from space…
    1. As you mentioned, it can easily be used as a weapon to hit enemy targets or cities, and it would be possible to claim such an attack as an accident.
    2. Dependence on solar power from space is dangerous because they will be taken out in a real war with superpowers such as China over Taiwan. We need to have local power sources available to turn on when that happens.

  26. johnnyairport2

Same ol’ Pippa! Delusional western propagandist garbage.

  27. Artur Nankran

Internet comes from space? Sorry but not, only a minority. GPS yes comes from space.
