Not happening: The terrifying consequences of stopping oil mining

Oil has long been the lifeblood of the global economy, powering industries, transportation, and the production of countless everyday consumer goods. However, there has been a growing movement towards reducing and even eliminating the reliance on oil as a means of energy production due to its negative impact on the environment and the climate crisis.

While the intent behind this movement is noble and necessary for the future of the planet, the abrupt cessation of oil mining would have terrifying consequences that could potentially destabilize the global economy and have devastating effects on the daily lives of people around the world.

The first consequence of stopping oil mining would be a severe disruption in the energy supply. Oil currently accounts for a significant portion of the world’s energy production, and a sudden halt in its mining would result in a shortage of energy resources. This would lead to widespread power outages, affecting everything from homes and businesses to hospitals and essential services. The lack of energy supply would also have a cascading effect on other industries, such as transportation, manufacturing, and agriculture, further compounding the issue.

In addition, the sudden stop of oil mining would have a significant impact on the global economy. Oil is a crucial commodity in international trade, and its sudden absence would disrupt supply chains and lead to a spike in prices for essential goods and services. This would have a devastating effect on households and businesses alike, leading to financial hardship and potentially causing a global recession.

Furthermore, the cessation of oil mining would have serious implications for the job market. The oil industry employs millions of people around the world, and a sudden halt in oil mining would result in mass layoffs and unemployment. This would have a ripple effect on the broader economy, leading to a decrease in consumer spending and further exacerbating the economic downturn.

Finally, the consequences of stopping oil mining would also have geopolitical implications. Many countries are heavily reliant on oil exports for their economic prosperity, and a sudden stop in oil mining would lead to increased competition and potential conflicts over remaining oil reserves.

It is clear that while the reduction of reliance on oil is necessary for the future of the planet, a sudden and complete cessation of oil mining would have terrifying consequences for the global economy and the daily lives of people around the world. Instead, a gradual transition to renewable and sustainable energy sources is needed to mitigate these devastating effects and ensure a smooth and sustainable transition for the global economy.

Alaska's government and most of its infrastructure is paid for by taxing the oil companies. Thanks to Sarah Palin, if oil prices reach $100 a barrel the tax on oil companies per barrel exceeds 100% per barrel. The oil companies have to pay for a lease, then they have to pay a tax for every foot they drill, they have to pay a tax for every barrel of liquid they pull out of the ground ( oil companies actually do not pump oil out of the ground they pump water that is contaminated with oil they separate the water and the gas and re-inject the water back into the so they can draw more oil out) in Alaska they have to pay tax to reject the water back into the ground. They have to pay taxes on their infrastructure, there Pipelines and they have to pay a tax per Barrel to ship their oil via the Alaska pipeline. That only gets the oil to Valdez. then of course that oil has to be put on ships. The oil then again is tax per barrel to load on the ship. which have to be escorted by a minimum of two Tugs boats to prevent another Exxon Valdez type oil spill. That's why Alaska crude is more expensive than any other crude in the world.
This is why less and less oil is being pumped through the Alaska pipeline. Alaska crude is one of the only oils in America that American oil refineries can refine. (most oil in America that is pumped out of the ground has to be shipped overseas to be refined because our refineries are not set up to refine American crude oil) it's not because there's no oil in Alaska it's because of the cost. That 100% tax that Sarah Palin imposed is only the tax on what's pulled out of the ground. that does not include all the other taxes that Alaska charges, just to get the oil out of the state.
But what do I know, I'm just a Alaskan guy that's worked in the oil industry most of my life and I am a down hole expert.

Alaska Democratic party is the most corrupt party in the country. Only second by the Alaska Republican Party I know this first hand because I ran for United States Congress Alaska seat at Large as a Democrat an experience the corruption firsthand was enough to make me change parties but because the Republicans were almost as bad, I am now on an independent

Yet, if we NEVER stop oil, the overwhelming facts – including those unfolding before our very eyes – indicate that over 6 billion will also die. Maybe more. AND the global ecology will continue to collapse as it has been. There is zero evidence that climate change is being caused by Jewish space lasers, or a Chinese hoax. There is research and documentation going back over 150 YEARS that has predicted this.

You mentioned Alaska. I grew up in Alaska. Alaska Democrats are relatively conservative; their definition of gun control means using both hands. Just about everyone in AK acknowledges the economic benefits from Prudhoe Bay and the Pipeline. The last time I was in AK, the whole place was a giant ashtray from the wildfires raging throughout the state and was setting record temperatures. And today, Alaskan bush communities (villages) are being lost to rising sea levels, unprecedented wildfires, permafrost thaw, and other consequences of climate change. So if Alaska Democrats are sounding the alarm, it must be pretty bad now.

The trick is to transition to carbon-free energy – over time. This is going to take INDUSTRY and ENGINEERING and BUSINESS all working in a concerted effort together with, yes, some amount of GOVERNMENT support. Hippies alone never succeeded at this and they never will.
We should have started down this road 3-4 decades ago; if we did, we would have had more time to transition. Now we have maybe 1-2 decades *at most* but climate change is already here.

Many in the prepper community like to gripe about "liberal sheeple" and such; but we need to check our own heads and make sure we're not blindly gulping down what the Koch Brothers have been serving up. The fossil fuel industry has been waging a very aggressive misinformation/disinformation campaign ever since they figured out the consequences themselves in the 1970's, in order to forestall this and line their pockets. If you doubt what I'm saying, look it up:
