Mortal Kombat is a popular fighting game series known for its intense combat, iconic characters, and brutal finishing moves. One of the most iconic characters in the series is Scorpion, a ninja warrior with a fiery nature and a deadly arsenal of moves. In Mortal Kombat 1, Scorpion is a formidable fighter and mastering his combos, strings, and tips can give you the upper hand in battles. In this guide, we will delve into the most effective strategies for using Scorpion in Mortal Kombat 1.
Combos:
Scorpion has a variety of combos that can be executed to inflict maximum damage on opponents. One effective combo is the “Spear Combo,” which involves using Scorpion’s signature spear move followed by a series of punches and kicks. To execute this combo, input the command for the spear move (Back, Back, Low Punch) followed by a series of High Punches, Low Kicks, and High Kicks. This combo is great for catching opponents off guard and dealing significant damage.
Strings:
In addition to combos, Scorpion also has a range of strings that can be used to chain together multiple attacks. One effective string is the “Hellfire Combo,” which involves using Scorpion’s hellfire breath followed by an uppercut. To execute this string, input the command for the hellfire move (Down, Forward, High Punch) followed by the command for an uppercut (Down, High Kick). This string is great for keeping opponents at a distance and dealing damage from afar.
Tips:
To master Scorpion in Mortal Kombat 1, it’s important to practice his special moves and understand the timing and range of each attack. Scorpion’s spear move is a key tool for initiating combos and pressuring opponents, so mastering the execution of this move is crucial. Additionally, utilizing Scorpion’s teleport move (Down, Back, Low Kick) can be a great way to evade attacks and surprise opponents with unexpected maneuvers.
It’s also important to be mindful of Scorpion’s range and to use his long-range attacks to keep opponents at a distance. Utilizing Scorpion’s hellfire breath and ground flame moves can be an effective way to control the pace of the match and maintain pressure on opponents.
In conclusion, mastering Scorpion in Mortal Kombat 1 requires a combination of precise execution, strategic use of special moves, and an understanding of his combos and strings. By practicing these techniques and incorporating them into your gameplay, you can become a formidable force with Scorpion and dominate your opponents in Mortal Kombat 1.

Will you bring another kameo video for johnny? Im using cyrax atm but i miss the lao pressure xd
Ive found scorpion to actually be on the better end of characters that can pair with shujinko for a few reasons.
Firstly, scorpion plays at a range where charging shujinko is not difficult, and often makes the opponent more impatient trying to hit him meditating.
Secondly he has very universal routes of hit confirming into spear followed by standing 4, or 33 special canceled into shujinko punch -> launcher -> f3-2 -> j21 etc.
Thirdly, he ironically really buffs scorps zoning/counterzoning by sending him out to take a projectile while you throw spears or b3 out. This is further complemented now by giving you an extra 100hp for the zoning war.
Lastly, shujinko deals really high damage and when combined with scorpions already high meterless damage it can really add up without costing many resources.
Unfortunately shujinko does have some weaknesses with scorp however. The 2 big ones ive found are as follows:
Shujinko lacks an ambush move, meaning you lose the ability to armor, b3, and chain spin without risk.
The other main weakness revolves around scorps mid string, but actually has some interesting options. Shujinko punch is a high that doesn't jail off the knee, and shujinko kick is a mid but is punishable on block. A third option, however, is to time shujinko to run out when you would normally call him to do a punch or kick, and simply go for a stagger. This will cause him to appear with a flash that looks very similar to his attacks and allows you to fake out the opponent and steal another turn.
Shujinko is a very unpopular kameo in general but I really do think he can work well with scorpion. Hope you give him a chance!
Sorry for the essay lol
Please do a Sub Zero guide using Lao Kameo. Explain how you lab stuff up, what kinds of alternative mix he has (staggers, MicroDuck, backdash wiff punish, backdash instant air divekick) and so on.
Literally no one plays Sub Zero and definitely not dedicated to overcoming matchups and discovering tech like you are!
Great job, well done.
How would you buff scorpion?
Such a clear and useful guide, bro. Great job!
can you do a wave dash guide?
Please more scorp
Yeah Boi!!
i just start playing him 1 day ago this come right at the spot damn
Do you think he is better than what people giving him credit for?
Yo Xombat, really appreciate your guides man. Would u consider making a general Footsies explanation/guide. I’d really appreciate it. Keep up the good work G 🙂
I personally like to use goro with him
Are you mashing to get that f32 scorpion combo into fatal blow to get to 50%m
It would also be nice if you just show us some matches then you comment on the matches; showing us when and how to use what
Great guide bro, very useful and helps a lot of people out.
With 1 bar with Sektor going the start up route of 21 then Kameo (Have to hit it almost same time) will get you almost 43% damage on the back end because you get to stand your opponent up again at the end going into 33 then death spin
He also has a 451% one bar with Sektor , a 508% two bar (if in the air) and 525% 3 Bar (If in the air)…They come off EX Teleport but you have to hit confirm the teleport into another teleport then standing 4 into spear..1 Bar 2 Kameos on the ground will get you 485% after you do F32 twice then standing 4 into BF2 but it has to come off the EX Teleport + hit confirm
Hit confirming off ex teleport does soooo much more damage no matter the kameo and i' don't see a lot of people doing it, they're just going straight into the 21 after and leaving a ton of damage on the table
MKX had such a fire announcement trailer
What about goro?
Raiden Kano miniguide?
Great guide ! This is what I’m waiting for. Thanks you
