I don't store metals at home or at an unallocated storage facility. I rent a safe deposit box at my local bank. Unallocated space is NOT your property and is subject to seizure by the leasers creditors. Home safes are easy to open…with a gun pointed at your skull. A specific safe deposit box at your local bank CANNOT be seized by the banks creditors, as it is YOUR property and NOT the banks property. Be aware of the difference.

If you don't want all your money in a standard Ira for retirement…what else do you do? Balance is the key and if you are in it for long haul, you'll be fine. The only way to keep it away from uncle Sam is if you do private party selling. Good luck. Safe deposit boxes are against most bank rules.

Hard to get away from Big Brother, and security should be HIGH on anybody's list when you have Precious Metals, and DON'T advertise your business, wish we had and LCS in my town, but we don't. I’ve been thinking about it. But the only way I would do one is off shore. Cayman Islands kind of off shore. Segregated storage and the ability to do a self audit. And an excuse to go on vacation.

This coin flew under radar so far in coin world and thus could be worth alot of money depending on grade. i wonder how many collector plan to collect and grade them? I keep my precious metals separate from my 401(k) and ROTH IRA. If I want to sell some of my precious metals in my retirement years I won’t have to worry about paying any income tax.

I rolled over an old 401k into a GOLD SDIRA. The bullion, I bought from my broker, took 7 months to be delivered to Brinks!!! Moreover, their premiums are outragous. I would not recommend a GOLD SDIRA to anybody.
