Should this three fund portfolio method be used with a Roth IRA or just a normal brokerage account? What if I have a Roth IRA and a normal brokerage how would I go about setting each one up so that it doesn't look the same? or it does not matter?

  2. FireFacts

Stocks and Crypto portfolio beats almost all other portfolios.
The only portfolio that can beat that is a portfolio of private bussinessces that have a potential of going public.

Awesome video! So if I were to rebalance my Roth IRA, I would need to pay taxes on the gains even if I never withdrew the money?

  9. ghggp1

Can you speak to rebalancing a Roth IRA, traditional IRA, and a normal brokerage account along with each's tax implications?

  12. A Fridge Too Far

Young investors should stay away from bonds. There is little upside. Stick with equities and cash on hand.

  13. Donovan Strieby

One question I do have is. Would it be worth investing into etfs say on webull. Then also investing in Fidelity in the index funds ?

  16. Gengar Phantom69

Ty very much for the video. I didn’t know what to do with a rollover Ira money I just got set up. I have fidelity so this helps a lot. To use that money and make a three fund ira

  17. Jeff Wall

What are your thoughts on a 5 fund portfolio 20% in each fund. The funds are VTI, BND, VEA, DBC, VNQ?? I've read that this is about as much diversification as you can possibly get.

  18. sean richards

This is awesome advise. Here in Canada some people follow the canadian couch potato website, which is essentially what you are saying. The typical portfolio is a Canadian ETF, A US, and a "world wide, ex US ex canada". The new ones up here people are getting into are the all in one or asset allocated ETF's which is basically a couch potato portfolio but all in one.

  19. Charles Lee

Learn SO much every single time when I'm watching your video. Thank you so much to share your knowledge.

  20. Thomas Huang

I would say a 4 fund portfolio: VTI, VXUS, Vanguard Bond ETF, SCHD. Atleast imo

  21. Steven Nguyen

High profit margin business then funnel that money into index fund portfolio then take a line of credit to buy apartment complexes for tax write offs and more cash flow. That's what I am trying to build. Scaled to 90 units of real estate.

  22. Damien Albino

What is the best time of the year to rebalance my portfolio? Thanks.

  23. Haris Muzaffar

  26. bmgrosso09

What's the difference between VTI and VTIAX?

  27. Sunny Purewal

What would be the equivalent in the uk?

  28. Stumped N Lost

Would you be able to make a video on rebalancing in detail? Whether being in a bull market or bear market matter?

  29. Shu Matsuo Post

  30. MattBangsWood

    This is why you're #1.

  31. Si Ca

Are VOO and VTI interchangeable? I started with VOO and I don't know if I should change it. I also have VT instead of VXUS? Any idea, people? Thanks!

  38. Kevin Fields

So during the middle of COVID I invested in all US funds because the International market was lagging. Should I consider reinvesting some funds into the international market at all? Thanks! Love your content!

  39. 2conRazor

Have you looked into M1 finance? They have a rebalancing feature, you should do a review on it.

  40. Albert Rivera

Excellent video. Great basic advice. Very useful. Thank you.

I would take this and allocate 10% to play around with – dividends, reits, maybe weight a little directly into S&P.

  41. Marcelino Barrows

I put $290k into some growth stocks, volatile and digital assets with a planner handling my portfolio. some of my picks are VOO, BRK-A, AAPL, IVV, NYSE, NASDAQ, TSLA, I've gotten 71% return so far this year, I'll see where it goes… fingers crossed

  42. Nate

I hold SCHX(50%) VYM(30%) and a handful stocks. HD, CAT, WM, AAPL, MSFT, LOW, TXN and GOOGL. I want a little more than the 3 fund process in my traditional account, but I hold VOO(50%), SCHD(30%) and VBR(20%) in my Roth.
