As a financial advisor, I know that retirement planning is crucial for anyone who wants to maintain their standard of living once they stop working. That’s why I decided to move my IRA to Fidelity, and I’ve been very pleased with the choice.

The primary reason I moved my IRA to Fidelity is the platform they offer. They have excellent tools and resources, including a comprehensive retirement analysis that takes into account my retirement goals and desired lifestyle. This tool helped me determine how much I need to save and invest to achieve my retirement goals.

Moreover, Fidelity has an extensive selection of investment options. They offer low-cost ETFs and mutual funds, which are highly diversified and suitable for most investors. Additionally, they have a range of managed accounts, including target date funds, pre-built portfolios, and managed account services, which can help me tailor my portfolio based on my risk tolerance and investment goals.

Fidelity has an excellent reputation and has been around for nearly 75 years. Their investment performance is also impressive. As their mutual funds consistently score high marks for performance, they have some of the best fund managers in the business. I was drawn to their managed accounts as well, which can give me peace of mind about my portfolio at all times.

Another reason I moved my IRA to Fidelity is the cost of their services. They have low fees for their investment options and managed accounts, making their platform accessible to a wide range of investors. They also offer free financial planning tools and guidance, so I can learn more about my investments and how to make the most of my portfolio.

Finally, Fidelity has impressive cybersecurity protocols, which is significant in today’s environment of online fraud and identity theft. I am assured that my financial information is safeguarded, which for me as an investor, is a great relief.

Overall, I am delighted with my decision to move my IRA to Fidelity. Their platform is outstanding, their investment options are varied and low-cost, and their financial planning resources, guidance, and customer support are excellent. For anyone who wants to make the most of their retirement savings, I highly recommend considering Fidelity.

This is a very informative video. It’s incredible how much my wife and I are paying an advisor on my wife’s Ira every year to consistently underperform the market.

Great video! Take a look at the allocation of the target date fund. You can save another 10th in fees if you invest in equity and bond funds yourself. The savings are great with Fidelity funds. Thank you for sharing!

So do you actually need someone to manage your Roth IRA? I’ve been contacted by Primerica and they say they can open a Roth IRA and an emergency fund through fidelity. Do I need Primerica?

    I use Merrill Edge

Did you do a managed account or self directed? Also is it just the one retirement account that you have with Fidelity?

But I hate that for 401K only can contribute by cheque

Love your channel, thank you for the content. Very helpful!

Great job! Very informative. I'd like to add that with zero commission trades you are able to make your own little mutual funds/ETFs with no fees. I choose stocks based upon recommendations by The Motley Fool and other trading websites that have consistently outperformed the market average. I periodically rotate in and out of stocks that are losing their momentum and into more interesting stocks as I become aware of them through research. The HUGE advantage of trading within your IRA retirement fund is that you don't take the big tax hit every time you sell and make a profit. So take advantage of the zero commission trades while they are still around!

Good move. Fidelity is the best for sure. Michael Jordan is the best basketball player no argument maybee kobe or lebron can compare. Fidelity is the best investing platform maybee vanguard can compare but only to fall short in second place.

I appreciate you sharing this. I am in need of moving a teacher pension into a qualified traditional IRA. What are the questions or "look fors" before committing to a company? I am looking for a FAQ list to review before joining an IRA company…

Loved your video. Nice skin too lol.
But yea, i want to turn my 401k to a roth ira and also have a side account to play around with money on fidelity

Even though this video is a few months old, very informative. I hold my IRA with Vanguard although many index funds have a minimum investment (~3000.00) there are many great options for ETF that can be rolled over to an index fund. However, Fidelity is awesome and we utilize that for stock trading and ETFs. Both brokerages offering zero commission trading and low expense ratios

Do you have a roth IRA? and if so what account do you use for that one.

Thanks for this! I have a Roth 401 at work with Fedelity and a Roth IRA for my personal with Betterment. I don’t fund my Roth IRA since I can only afford putting money into my work r401k. Should I roll over my Roth IRA with Betterment to Fedelity Go?

  18. LLMBC

Can't buy fractional shares at Fidelity.

  19. formeyousee

Is it better (less expensive) to open a ROTH IRA with eTrade instead of Fidelity?

  20. harrisc42

I use Fidelity for both after-tax brokerage account and IRAs. I really love them. Tons of low-cost funds and ETFs to choose from that are completely free to invest in. Their website is fantastic and has tons of research and education tools. Plus calling their customer service to ask questions is always a great and helpful experience. Nice job!

This is almost as if we are on the same boat! I recently switched over to Fidelity for this exact same reason. Also, thanks for exposing me to Personal Capital. I really needed something like that.
