Money, Power and Wall Street is a powerful documentary series produced by FRONTLINE that dives deep into the inner workings of the financial industry, exploring the interconnected web of money, power, and influence that shapes our global economy. The documentary begins by revisiting the chaotic days of the financial crisis, when major institutions such as Lehman Brothers and AIG collapsed, sending shockwaves through the global economy. Through a combination of interviews with key players and archival footage, viewers are given a front-row seat to the chaos and confusion that gripped Wall Street during this turbulent time.

As the dust settled and the true extent of the damage became clear, the U.S. government sprung into action with a series of unprecedented financial interventions, including the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) and the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. These measures were aimed at stabilizing the financial system and preventing a future crisis, but they also sparked intense debate and controversy over the role of government intervention in the economy.

The documentary does not shy away from exploring the criticisms and shortcomings of these reforms, highlighting the ongoing challenges and loopholes that still exist within the financial industry. It also delves into the lucrative world of lobbying and political influence, showing how powerful Wall Street interests continue to shape policy and regulation to their advantage.

At the heart of Money, Power and Wall Street, Part Three is a stark reminder of the enduring power dynamics that govern the global economy. Despite the lessons learned from the financial crisis, the documentary makes it clear that the forces of money and power continue to drive the actions of major financial institutions, often at the expense of ordinary citizens.

Overall, Money, Power and Wall Street, Part Three is a gripping and thought-provoking exploration of the complexities and contradictions that define the world of finance. It serves as a timely reminder of the need for continued vigilance and reform in order to ensure a more just and equitable financial system for all.

Tim Geithner was one of the main people responsible for the excesses of Wall Street Banks. He was in charge of the NY Fed where all this happened. Please stop painting this guy as noble, he’s was one of the chief clowns in this collapse.
