Thanks for being a good resource as the government likes to automatically enroll you in something you are completely clueless on and many government employees blindly put hundreds of dollars a month into the TSP without understanding any of it

Thanks Cooper for the quick reply. Im 30, an air traffic controller, with another 25 years before retirement. For the past couple of years myself and some friends have been subscribing to TSP Pilot, and following their aggressive model since we are willing to accept a good deal of risk. Their advisories usually have about 30% allocated in the G fund. watching your videos, i understand that the market always trends upwards with time, so i kind of feel like that 30% is being wasted in the G at this point. Do you think these advisory companies that use market timing models are a waste? i hear some people say its like trying to catch lightning in a bottle. What are your thoughts?

is there value investing in the I fund since it has been struggling?

I am only 34 and kept the ideal of still taking some risk. I am on the verge of withdrawing and moving to stocks or other commercial markets. TSP isn't anyone friend once you leave the service or federal employment.

Thanks, Since leaving the service I am not able to contribute anymore which does not help when my I and S funds takes nasty dives within the year. Russia has not helped lol. I will withdraw and move to another aggressive market, just don't know yet.

Can you please explain the "all 5 of the L funds?" I won't to go aggressive with my tsp. What's the most aggressive invest suggestions?
