Retirement is wonderful if you have two essentials — much to live on and much to live for. Invest wisely and get good returns.

I lost interest when you said why would anyone want to live in a blue state then you started talking about an AR and bullets…. I then turned to the next channel …be assured your channel is by no means “too intelligent” for me. Too many really good options on YouTube- sorry I gave you a shot. Funny how you shoot back (no pun intended) with an insult – a real class act.

Man, my wife and I are both 70 and have got it made. Military pension (Colonel 34 years); Federal govt. employee pension, tax free VA disability pension, wife’s teacher pension, and both our social security benefits. TRICARE for Life is our free Part B supplement.

You obviously haven’t been shot by one of those itty bitty bullets.

Successful people don't become that way overnight. Most people you see as glance wealth, a great career, purpose is the result of hard work and hustle over time. I pray anyone who reads this will be successful in life

I am looking at a rosy retirement potentially- full VA rating, full military retirement, IRAs, TSP, Social Security, other investments, paid off vehicles and paying off mortgage well before retirement… but how long will this dollar based house of cards last? All empires crumble to dust

Everyone is sick of the woke idiots

  12. Paula Paolino

You completely lost me as a viewer when you started talking about an AR… too many really good professional financial advisors on YouTube (Rob Berger, Holy Schmidt) so I’ll now pass by your shows! Crazy to talk about an automatic rifle during a financial planning segment.

If you take away guns, you will just have more knife attacks, bombings, beatings, acid attacks, and other methods. We need to work on the root cause of violence.

  14. Bobby Ewan

Might have missed it. How much do they have in their pretax IRAs? At 72 this could cause their situation to change and become taxable

  15. Bob

Great for them. Sounds awesome. We will retire on 50 to 55 K a year and live like kings, considering our current expenses run us 38K a year.

Hey Josh, great channel… lots of excellent information as I ponder retirement over the next year. Keep them coming… Merry Christmas and Happy New Year… to you and your family..

I was cleaning my gun while listening to this… irony yes karma no. Made me laugh… aloud.

  18. Garry Singer

Just curious. What does one do with an AR?

  19. Denny

I have an air rifle that I bought when I was 12 years old, 50 years ago. It is still the most powerful air rifle ever built and it fires and shoots like new. It is the best small game rifle ever. But, I'll still take my 12 gauge 12 shot mag semi auto "00" shot gun in a pinch.

  20. Dan Hanson

    Black guns matter, lol.

  21. Ricky AZ

Cap gains doesn’t include the original cost basis. They could be pulling in thousands more in actual cash

  22. Steve Mlejnek

It's not the size of the bullet, it is the incredible speed that it travels that causes such devastating injuries. Buckshot is slow in comparison and short range. Shotguns are not the weapon of choice when a deranged individual wants to shoot and kill as many innocent people as possible.

So could you have 30k to 40 K capital gains and still be in the 10% tax bracket or is this calculated after adding it into your AGI and thus would put you over the 10% tax bracket.

I made mine pink so the girls would like me

Dude, you're going to get kicked off YouTube… but I agree with everything you said.

  31. Bill Carlson

All I have coming in is a $30,000/year pension right now and $8000/year in Dividend income, with the rest being cash reserves. Pretty easy to not pay taxes for the wife and I right now no matter how much cash we spend. LOL!

  32. Kelly Martin

All of this is fine and good… But WhAt AboUt HeALth cARe, jOSh? Thanks for the vid!
