My Living Room Remodel Timelapse | Renovation from Start to Finish

Renovations are never easy, but they are always worth it in the end. There’s something incredibly satisfying about transforming a space and bringing your vision to life. And that’s exactly what I did with my living room remodel, capturing the entire process in an exciting timelapse video.

The first step in any renovation project is the planning phase. I spent weeks brainstorming ideas, looking for inspiration online, and creating mood boards to help me envision the final result. With a clear plan in mind, I was ready to dive into the renovation process.

Day one of the remodel was all about ripping out the old and making way for the new. I removed the outdated carpet, peeled off the old wallpaper, and demolished the existing built-in shelves. It was a messy and time-consuming process, but I had a feeling the end result would be well worth the effort.

Once the room was stripped down to its bare bones, it was time to start building anew. I enlisted the help of a team of skilled contractors to ensure that the renovation was done right. The first thing we tackled was the flooring. I chose a beautiful hardwood that would add warmth and elegance to the space. Watching the flooring being installed was a truly satisfying sight, as the room began to take shape before my eyes.

Next, I focused on the walls. I wanted a fresh, modern look, so I opted for a neutral color palette. I painted the walls a crisp white, creating a bright and airy atmosphere. The transformation was already impressive, but the best was yet to come.

The highlight of the living room remodel was undoubtedly the installation of a stunning fireplace. I had always dreamed of having a fireplace in my living room, and this was the perfect opportunity to make it happen. The contractors carefully built the fireplace, adding a gas line for convenience. The moment the fireplace was lit for the first time, I felt a sense of coziness and satisfaction that I had never experienced before in my home.

With the major components in place, it was time to focus on the smaller details. I carefully selected furniture and decor items that would complement the new design. I opted for a comfortable yet stylish sofa, a statement rug that added a pop of color, and a few carefully chosen accessories to tie the room together. Each element was thoughtfully chosen to create a space that felt inviting and personal.

The final stage of the renovation was the installation of lighting fixtures. I chose a combination of recessed lighting, elegant chandeliers, and floor and table lamps to create a warm and welcoming ambiance. The lighting truly brought the entire room to life, enhancing its beauty and functionality.

After weeks of hard work, the living room remodel was complete. I couldn’t be happier with the end result. What was once a tired and outdated space had been transformed into a stylish and inviting room that I was proud to call my own.

Through the power of timelapse, I was able to capture the entire transformation process in a captivating video. Watching the video, I could see just how far the room had come, and it served as a great reminder of the hard work and dedication that went into making my vision a reality.

Renovations may be challenging, but the end result is always worth it. My living room remodel timelapse captures the incredible journey from start to finish, reminding me of the joy that comes from transforming a space and creating a home that truly reflects my style and personality.

Hi George. Since you are a professional video maker/editor, may a ask you an off-topic question? I'm looking for a laptop to do 1080p video editing; the videos won't be too long, just one-minute, similar to YouTube shorts. I have a pretty low budget, so I came here to ask you if one with a Ryzen 5 5625u with no dedicated GPU (but igpu Vega 7) will be powerful enough without taking days to "give birth" to the video. Or, there's the same laptop, but with a 5825u, also with no GPU (but igpu Vega 8 and 150 euros more expensive).

Dear George, the kind of people who will call you a piece of capitalist %#^ are not the kind of people whose opinions you should value or acknowledge. Hope you are able to ignore that nonsense! Love your videos and your humor and Junior!

Hello George. Greetings from South Africa.

In the video it seems there is a gap left between the stone wall and the insulation. Curious, why?

I absolutely agree with your need to cover up stone walls and insulate, insulate, insulate! Try living in a black house nowadays. Love your videos and your honesty.

George, NEVER ever apologize for being industrious and successful and earring a good income in a creative and entrepreneurial way. Anyone calling you a “capitalist shit” is just a person steeped in envy and emotional problems. It’s not idealism, it’s envy and jealously couched in the guise of self-righteousness. They are the worst lot. Ignore them, and also block them. I am much older than you are, and I can say that the path you are taking to earn a living in a creative way, and through property investment is excellent, it’s honorable, and mature.

Bring on the longer video! Would love to see it.

I think your philosophy is outstanding. Wishing you and your brother every success in your new home.

  13. Retro Redo

I like that you did an actual roof window. When Ive watched some stone buildig renovations in Normandy France they do that too. I dont see that here in USA. They just make skylights with ugly translucent bubble on the roof.

  14. Retro Redo

Real estate is always a good investment even if markets go down overall if you improve a place it will sell for more than you paid. And as you are doing rentals give you income. It also helps your brother move into the ownership world too.

Beautiful transformation. It is very satisfying to watch people work when they are so good at what they do!

    Lovely

Your new home is looking so beautiful. Who wouldn't insulate their home? I like being warm, not losing heat out of my home, and keeping my heating expenses down. So insulate! LOL

  18. Angelica

Wow it's looking absolutely amazing. It was really interesting seeing how they did the cut outs for the windows. Those skylights really make the hugest difference for the room.

    Looking forward to next step!

I am happy for you George. Everything is coming along nicely. For safety reasons, the guys should wear a mask when cutting things, although styrofoam should be okay 🙂

  21. Luminya M

    That looks wonderful.

  22. Doppel

If your brother is anything like you, it is not surprising he helped you out buyung this place. Your parents did great job in raising good, humble kids.

  23. annie C

    fantastic stuff george…well done

  24. Natasha Sadaeva

It looks good but I think the thing people are upset about is all the character being lost/covered up – e.g. you could have left the beams exposed or the window stone lime washed. The house is looking generic. You might pull it back, we haven't seen future videos obviously, but yeah, mixed feelings over here.

  25. Loretta Moon

New subscriber. Im about to binge your videos. Love the cosy vibe. I’m sure I recognise those hills. I’m from Loch Lomond way. Good luck in your ventures.
