Your videos are so so helpful. I honestly was super stressed trying to figure out all of these things I nearly broke down into tears. I sadly lost my job during the pandemic and thankfully have started working part time ( and am hoping to increase my income and find full time work). I’ve definitely felt sooo behind in everything because I’m 28 and having to start over. but I’ve been growing my emergency fund and my other goal for the year is to start a retirement fund for myself and also find affordable insurance. Lol being an adult is super stressful. But I’m so grateful for your channel and how much it’s helped me.

So I’m unemployed. The only income I get is from unemployment insurance which is $1400 monthly. Can I still open a Roth IRA? I don’t want to wait until I find a new job to start saving for retirement. Getting a full time job with benefits IS SO HARD.

Thinking of opening a Roth before the year is up. Can I open it and make a deposit with the max allowed for the whole year?

So this doesn't have to do with IRA, but was thinking maybe you can help me a bit. my company recently switch the company that my 401k is with, and now I have the option to do contribution pretax or after tax. I have to contribute 4% to get employer match. Do you think I should do all 4% pretax, after tax or half and half?
