I’m new to all of this and trying to get the best understanding. So what is fidelity exactly? A mutual fund company, an online brokerage? Are they known as both?

  2. Reginald Marselus

I am currently a customer of TD Ameritrade. But they will be moving me to Schwab sometime in the next 12 months. They will give me a date when I should sign up with Schwab and begin the process of moving my account. However, I told them that I do not want to be a customer of Schwab. So, I am looking at Fidelity. Fidelity may be my new broker. So, thank you for the information.

Thanks for helping teach people like me the investment knowledge. I'm Amadeus, I'm putting together a foundation that helps addicts, alcoholics, and people who struggle with criminal thinking, how to make money honestly and how to make it exciting for them for a better America. I'm having trouble getting donations, if you have any suggestions for me would be great thanks.

Hello, I opened an account three weeks ago and have been confused the entire time they have been open. Today, however, you have made Fidelity understandable, and I wanted to say thanks. I believe you did this video a few years back; I wanted to ask how you feel about Fidelity today.

Hi Jake, great video! Got a question, I have an account with Fidelity, was set up by my former employer as part of their benefits. I can access that money intended for my retirement but will be heavily taxed. Do u know of a way that I can give a better investment use to it instead of just leaving $$ there?I would really appreciate your feedback! Regards!

  15. Everardo Tapia

    DO NOT USE FIDELITY
Fidelity does not allow to set max sell orders higher than 50% of the current price. Also penny stocks cannot be sold or bought during premarket or after hours. Fractional shares cannot me transfer as shares only as cash from account to account inside Fidelity. Also, Fidelity thinks that they own your money yours hares. It is just insane how sometimes they do business.

  16. manageablechaos

I'm just trying to figure out a convenient way to add money to my fidelity account. I don't want to add my bank account to anything I can avoid, and don't have a checkbook. I have the account, but I'm not started.

Hey Jake, excellent video! Thanks for all the great info. I just opened a Fidelity account and converted my traditional IRA into a Roth. I am 56 years old and I really want to grow my account. I am starting with $75K. I have an older gentleman that has been doing quite well trading options. He said he would teach me how to do it. I am still very confused about the whole thing. Any tips you could give me, or steer me to a video? Thanks so much~

El dinero es un tema que todo el mundo tiene para una vida mejor y lujosa. la vida era difícil para mí hasta que comencé con Bitcoin y ahora estoy ganando $9500 por semana.

  24. rezi

Jake, would you happen to know if there is a alternative to fidelity for people in europe?

  25. CaedenV

I've been stoked on fidelity. Started a Roth with them last year, and even though the overall market is waaaaaay down from where I jumped in, the robo investing is only down about 5%. Down is still down, and that sucks, but it is in much better shape than my 401k at another institution.
This year I picked up the credit card, and sure, it's no 5% discount like a store specific card, but 2% is a lot better than what my bank card refunds me. And that deposit has been dropping into the Roth account, which helps.
Getting ready to open a nonretirement account with them, and I may use the same robo investor for the bulk of what I put in. I'll put a little aside for some fun betting, but their robo advisor is kinda magical for someone like myself who has no business being trusted to make big plays myself.

  28. GladTrad

I just wanna say this is amazingly clear. Thanks for breaking this down for us.

  29. William H

I invested with fidelity for thirty years at AT&T, and now I can't get my pension form them. They keep moving the goalposts and lawyers are now involved.

It seems that since they make money off of YOUR money, they'll do anything to keep it as long as they can.

  30. Calvin Rai

Does Fidelity have a feature where I can choose various stocks and ETF's to place in my portfolio and then set an automatic investment into all stocks by percentage or weight? For an example, if I have AAPL, TSLA, VOO, VYM, and MSFT in my portfolio, could I setup my portfolio so that a single automatic investment can be distributed to all five stocks by specifying the percentage I want to allocate to each stock/ETF?

  31. Christopher Zorthian

Hi, thanks I learned a lot but I am trying to find a way to separate my portfolio of stocks into groups . Is this even possible. I have a large portfolio and I would love if I could organize it by creating stock grouping.

  32. Mohammad Pourheydarian

A very good introduction about Fidelity. Brief yet slow enough to be followed. Thank you.

  33. Ken Johnson

This is a great video. I really enjoyed your video because I have fidelity. I’m trying to understand full view ,which has allot features. It would be great if you would consider going a video just on full view and it’s. Any insight you can provide is greatly appreciated

  34. Freddy K

Thank you for your video on Fidelity. A while ago, about a few months ago, I created an account with Fidelity, an IRA, account. I put $3,000 in that IRA account to start investing in some stocks. This fidelity account comes with a debit card. In your video, you did not address the issue of IRA accounts and federal and state taxes. Can you please address that issue or let me know of a YouTube video that is dedicated to explaining that issue as it is related to Fidelity?

  35. Mark

Used to trust Fidelity implicitly. Not anymore. I had to sue Fidelity in order to recover damages incurred because they made a mistake. Hope no one ever has to go through that ordeal.

  38. Les Peabody

Jake, have you done a video covering Active Trader Pro? I didn't see anything in your video backlog but maybe I missed something. If you haven't, and having my accounts all with Fidelity, that would definitely be a video I'd be interested in watching.

  39. Omega_Dawg SuperQue

How did you get the beta view and your columns arrange that way on the “POSITIONS” tab? I was told the columns are fixed and can not be rearranged.
