UPDATE #17: Fidelity Portfolio Update – ,300 Invested, Weekly 0 Investing

Hey everybody!

Today we discuss why I decided to simply my investment strategy by primarily investing into the S&P 500. You don’t necessarily need to invest into individual stocks do well in the stock market. In fact, simply investing into funds can be a fantastic way to not only hedge against inflation but also grow your wealth steadily overtime. We also discuss a bit about the new #bitcoin ETF’s that just hit the stock markets, although more on that next week!

Let me know down below what your thoughts are on investing into funds opposed to individual stocks as well as what you think about these new Bitcoin ETF’s!

$5,300 PORTFOLIO | WEEKLY $250 INVESTING | UPDATE #17 (Fidelity)

Welcome to the latest update on our $5,300 portfolio, where we invest $250 weekly through Fidelity. This is our 17th update, and we are excited to share the progress we have made.

As of our last update, the portfolio was valued at $4,800. Since then, we have continued to invest $250 every week, for a total of $4,250 in new investments. With the market fluctuations and our consistent contributions, the portfolio has grown to a current value of $5,300.

Our investment strategy has remained consistent, focusing on a mix of stocks, ETFs, and mutual funds. We aim to diversify our portfolio to reduce risk and maximize potential returns. So far, we have seen positive results, with steady growth in our investments.

One of the key factors in our portfolio’s growth has been the performance of individual stocks. We have been researching and selecting companies with strong fundamentals and growth potential. Our stock picks have performed well, contributing to the overall increase in the portfolio’s value.

In addition to individual stocks, we have continued to allocate a portion of our investments to ETFs and mutual funds. These diversified investments have provided stability and helped to balance out the volatility of the stock market.

Looking ahead, we remain optimistic about the future performance of our portfolio. While we understand that market fluctuations are normal, we believe that our long-term investment strategy will continue to yield positive results.

We are also considering opportunities to further diversify our portfolio, potentially exploring new investment sectors or adding to existing positions. As we continue to monitor the market and evaluate our options, we remain committed to our disciplined approach to investing.

Why did you get out of FXAIX and into VOO? FXAIX has slightly better return, no fees since you are with Fidelity, and a lower expense ratio. I know everyone is talking about VOO, but the numbers suggest FXAIX is a better S&P fund.
