A rambling string of metaphors from America's favorite old fart.

The obscure, black-box swap/derivative trade had been identified highly problematic by the CFTC 10 years before the financial crisis, and even a silent panic had been adverted by the Fed a few years after that. Greenspan's response was that these things would resolve themselves by market activities. But, clearly he didn't really believe that, as can be seen by the Fed's covert response to the LTCM silent panic, years before the Financial Crisis.

The writing was on the wall, and you had all these goofy financial experts, pundits, and academicians crying in 2007-2008, "Do something!" The Fed was integral in creating that mess under Greenspan, and the Fed had to clean it up.

Hmm, where are the factories running, where does the talent come from, and farm lands are not going to save you. Free market must be better understood and separted from greed before it consumes all, including mother nature. I wish people like Buffet would reflect upon the goodness and the downside risks, and speak more to how life on Earth would look like 30 years from now.

He’s so connected to the banks it’s not even funny. You can tell by his answers. The American taxpayers got screwed the most with the bank bailouts, and he doesn’t even mention that.

If you stay invested and ignore the market's ups and downs, you'll make a lot of money in the long run; however, a severe market correction causes a lot of margin calls and sell-offs, driving the market even lower. People get greedy in this bull market and it's extremely irresistible.

How does that even effect the economy. There’s 50 million people paying money on home . Then 75 million that isn’t. Explain how that causes the 2008 stock market crash’s and recession ?
