Want to be found disabled for Social Security Disability Insurance, or Supplemental Security Income? The largest collection of tutorial videos on how to win your fully favorable SSI and SSDI benefits exists right here:

Howdy guys, my name is Attorney Walter Rudolph Hnot, III. New Jersey born, MBA, JD, Master Mason and a tireless advocate for the homeless and low income who are seeking disability benefits. It’s simple, if you are within the law’s requirements for disability benefits, you get a check every month, and health insurance. No, it doesn’t include a new iPhone, house or cool car, but, with your SSI/SSDI disability backpay, you can potentially get those things…with your own disability money :-). I created this channel because of how many crazy things I was hearing out in the general public on how this system works. I did library seminars, academia seminars, food truck seminars (which I prefer), etc…The online video platform is the best way to reach the majority of you guys.

What Evidence Will End Your Disability Benefits?

Disability benefits serve as a lifeline for individuals who are unable to work due to a physical or mental impairment. The financial support provided by these benefits helps people meet their basic needs and maintain their quality of life. However, there are specific circumstances and evidence that can potentially result in the termination of disability benefits. Understanding what evidence can end these benefits is crucial to avoid any unexpected disruptions in support.

1. Medical Improvement: Disability benefits are typically granted to individuals with conditions that are expected to last a year or more, or which are considered terminal. However, if medical evidence shows that an individual’s health has substantially improved, to the extent that they are able to return to work, their disability benefits may be terminated.

It is important to note that the Social Security Administration (SSA) takes into account more than just the patient’s self-reported improvement. Objective medical evidence, such as the results of medical examinations, treatments received, and reports from healthcare professionals, will be evaluated to determine whether there has indeed been substantial improvement.

2. Ability to Perform Substantial Gainful Activity (SGA): Disability benefits are designed for individuals unable to engage in any substantial gainful activity due to their impairments. SGA refers to the level of work activity that is both substantial and gainful. If medical evidence shows that a person is now capable of performing an activity considered SGA, their disability benefits may be discontinued.

The SSA considers various factors when evaluating SGA, such as the individual’s education, work experience, age, and the nature of their disability. If it is determined that the person’s impairments no longer prevent them from performing SGA, their disability benefits may cease.

3. Failure to Comply with Treatment: In most cases, recipients of disability benefits are expected to cooperate with treatment efforts aimed at improving their condition. If it can be established that an individual has willfully refused or failed to follow prescribed treatment, their benefits may be terminated. This is because it may be assumed that the individual’s lack of compliance contributes to their continued inability to work.

However, it is important to note that certain valid reasons, such as religious beliefs or adverse side effects of treatment, can result in noncompliance without risking the termination of benefits. Clearly documenting such reasons can help individuals avoid any misunderstandings.

4. Return to Work: If a person receiving disability benefits returns to work and earns a substantial income, they may no longer be eligible for benefits. The SSA uses a trial work period to assess an individual’s ability to sustain competitive employment. If during this period, a person’s earnings exceed a certain threshold set by the SSA, their benefits may be discontinued.

During the trial work period, individuals can still receive their benefits while testing their ability to work. Only after successfully completing the trial work period will the SSA conclude that the person is able to engage in substantial gainful activity and no longer eligible for benefits.

In conclusion, disability benefits exist to provide critical support to individuals facing incapacity to work. However, certain circumstances and evidence can lead to the termination of these benefits. Understanding the situations mentioned above and staying informed about the evolving requirements and regulations can help individuals avoid any potential interruptions in support.

You just mentioned losing benefits because you died.
I was in tears when health and human services sent a case update to me about my son's Medicaid benefit which was extended because of COVID. Our only child, our 21 year old son who was caring for us died last October. The benefit letter said he was denied medicaid. The reason they gave was, he died. That is the last thing I needed to see right after our son died. This is just an example of how you are informed when any benefits you are receiving are denied.
We haven't been able to get home health care because they don't want to go down our driveway. It's too long and bumpy. We can't come to your home because it drizzled last night and we're afraid we'll get stuck. Can they really deny home health services because they don't like your driveway? We are both on Medicare advantage plans and, of course, disabled so we need these services.

Just continue to see your doctor every month, I've never heard from SSA for 17yrs. I'm assuming that helps.
I applied at 37 & was approved when I applied myself, on my 1st try. I'm now 54.
I was seeing doctors monthly for 10yrs prior to applying.
It took 3yrs, (homeless with Wife & 2 kids) you have to be unemployed for a minimum of 12 months before applying (unless laws changed), then it took 2yrs for them to investigate my case.
My Case worker told me it normally takes a minimum of 2yrs before you'll receive a decision.
    Good luck if your applying.
My Buddy had Cancer with 6 months to live & was Denied! My Uncle had a Brain Tumor & part of his brain removed & was denied, even on 2nd chance with a lawyer!
