I'd like to also see a comparison between Whole Life and Roth IRA / 401(k) plans. Also, a consideration of self-directed Roth IRA plans would be useful. How might one allocate among these plans? A Roth 401(k) could be rolled over into a self-directed Roth IRA. One consideration is that the life insurance component of Whole Life allows one to "buy" an estate up front. Also, borrowing against a Whole Life policy's cash value is a differentiating feature. It would be great to see a large matrix comparing all the ins and outs of these plans.
