Josh, Haven’t you ever heard of we are all in this together, so your proud you save that $15 for a haircut, that’s fine but that’s a job someone has and may need your services to help them but I hope they know that you think saving $15 maybe 12-15 times a year is going to make you better off since you brag you made $100,000 a year for last 10 years. I guarantee you I’ll never give you a dollar of my money as I would rather support someone who knows it’s good to support others when your in business yourself.

I thought you could escape the penalty if you have a hardship.

Man Josh you are high and thight with the new haircut. Great information

I think it is a racket when you pay someone to cut your hair or perform some other service and then pay them again with a tip after they are done. Now if they go beyond what you are paying them to do, then a tip is in order. I don't see that in a hair cut I would want. I love it when my wife cuts my hair. I prefer it. The alternative is I will cut my own hair. Their ain't $5 worth of work up there on me.

Josh, if you were taking money from Rule of 55, in a similar situation, could you be possibly getting a tax refund and owe nothing from a 401K distribution?

I'm super interested in this and curious – may be heading this route myself someday…..

Child tax credit is $2k per child but the child must be under 17. This will be changing, however, in your example you had the oldest child at 18, so he/she wouldn’t qualify. So, the other 3 children at $2k each resulted in the $6k credit.

I missed the example and thought you had really done this. I did not catch on until you started knocking off your kids to see how it could work better. My bad as I am a slow learner. I watched it again and there is some very good info in there.

I bet you won't need that IRA money after the first year and by the 3 year you will be replenishing that IRA . Also what about Pablo (child #5) 🙂

Great video Josh. Glad you kept it simple and I could follow you there. That pesky 10% penalty on the early IRA w/d doesn't look so bad after you ran the numbers.
